Apartments need to be bigger

Does anyone else agree apartments should be bigger?

I think adding a separate room with a door that could be a bedroom or something. It is just too tiny to justify the current housing problem in my opinion.



The first picture is the first room with the entry way leading into the apartment, and there is a second door leading to the second room which is the same size as the first.

The second image is inside the second room, showing the back wall because there is no doorway there.

I really think this will give apartments their own unique apartment feeling.

Personally don't even think that much space is needed.

I'd honestly be happy if they just added, say, a loft-space for the apartments. Raised the ceiling a bit, staircase off to one side, and half the space of the lower level or so available for use again.

Or, maybe it has more to do with the ridiculous scale of certain items and a fifty item limit. Like, the enormous size and placement of that ridiculous ceiling lamp.

Honestly, you should just ignore it. It's Square's fault anyway for making it so huge in the first place.

This was intended for people to have access to rooms that may not be inside a free company currently. This was not meant to -replace- free companies as has been pointed out many times in the previous (100) threads about this.

No this was pure laziness on SE's side. They could have easily taken the middle floor (entry point) from the med house and put a small bedroom to the side. Or just copythe small house lay out and been done with it. And before you go well then the small house wouldn't be worth it... I say to you that's a load of bs. The small house has a yard and its own dedicated plot on the map. so yea small houses would still be worth the price.

I love the apartments, but do feel the team was a bit lazy with it.

I wish they had made the apartments a bit large, with their own inner design. A loft or second room or something to make them unique and their own thing.

The promo pictures of the lobbies looked much nicer then the small lobbies that we got. They were marketed as a place adventurers could hang out. Yet they are small, basic and plain, and look like they should have mall music playing in them to keep people out.

Basic things are missing, like a mailbox. The chocobo stables are just tacked to the front. It looks out of place. They could have spent time desinging these into the building in anyway at all.

I love that they did it - i don't love the lack of effort. A 30min brainstorming session on behalf of SE could have made these amazing and innovative while still staying 'safe' compared to the rsisk of diadem and potd.

Again, I repeat myself. These were never meant to replace houses out there in the wards. This was meant to supplement the housing issue. This is further proven by the fact they are not even going to auto demolish your rooms.

If they did make them special, lets say for a minute, the mentality is going to be "I still want a house because it is a status symbol". No one is ever going to be happy with apartments just for that fact alone.

They suck stop trying to excuse it. It doesn't matter what they were meant for. You can't intend for mediocrity and not get heat. The bottom line is they had a platform to dish out greatness and they settled for more of the same.

Apartment sizes are fine, SE could of not even take any time at all to do it and gave you nothing. I doubt it was meant to be anything more then a FC room without needing to have a FC.
