hello, which one would you suggest me to try between a drg(dragoon), nin and a machinist? They have different roles but I don't have much time to try them both. Which one of the three is more requested and useful to use?

Machinist is fun, can be a bit complex to some, there's a big difference between a good and bad machinist. I like it though, my dps of choice. the physical vulnerability is a huge boost to melee, and you have a magic vulnerability but not on quite the same level as bard.
NIN i dont play much but it has a 10 second vulnerability for damage boosts, and aggro manipulation to help tanks out. NInja's usually find a nice place in serious raid groups, but arent always necessary

LOL in that case, DRG is pretty common though they do help out other classes a fair bit. Just go with what seems fun though, dragoon and nin have a lot of structure in their rotation whereas machinist can rely somewhat on rng to proc their combos. can be frustrating using only 1 skill until your ammo comes off cooldown

Personally, I like DRG most of all.
If you're looking for what other people want in their party most, then you'd want to go NIN or DRG over MCH. MCH is fun to play for sure, but as far as utility goes DRG and NIN both have the additional benefit of debuffs that other party members can benefit from. DRG increases piercing damage, which both BRDs and MCHs benefit from. NIN meanwhile increases slashing damage, which benefits all tanks. While WARs have their own debuff they can use, it doesn't stack with NINs, so they're more beneficial when paired with a PLD or DRK.
Gameplay wise on their own, DRG is more even-paced, focused on juggling its two combos while also maximizing efficiency with its CDs. NIN by comparison is more fast-paced, keeping up a steady stream of attacks to maintain its buffs and debuffs, while also weaving in ninjutsu attacks to maximizing DPS.
if you already have access to Palace of the Dead - get 1 hour or another to try those cls yourself. you will have access to all their skills within one day down there. Drg got hyped and buffed due to its connection with HWs Storyline... they weren't that common before but with Estinien nearly every 2nd player raised this cls with HW. (im one of the less who didn't even pass the cls quest.) But i own Nin and Mch. First of all you should think of the kind of content you wanna play... Nin and Drg are way more welcome in static-progress content cause of their utilities - i didn't like Mch that much... maybe cause my very first char in FF14 was Bard - if i wanna play a range dd i usually stick to Brd.
Nin is fast and actually if you like Naruto - its your way to go... the playstyle with the melee-skills and jutus are exactly what you get if you compare it with the Anime. Drgs skills are related to the common interpretation of FF lancer cls, using jump-atks like Freya or other chars of the offline titles. uhm... and Mch well... like i said haven't get in touch with this cls in endcontent myself yet and i doubt i ever will - maybe someone else could tell ya why Mch could be worth playing, i honestly can't![]()
For now the drg seems the best, but I'll wait for more answer and opinions about the mch
MCH is the least played DD (according to 2015 Census) About 7% of players played MCH.
MCH is ranged DD. Fills a support role in raid and is known for their "Hypercharge" that gives damage boost to both tanks, melees and himself. He can catchup to NIN in dps or even surpass if played well. Gives MP and TP region to party when needed, also has some defensive abilities (reducing physical or magical damage). "Wildfire" can reach up to 13k with current il250 gear, they have huge burst in damage. Having DRG with MCH will boost MCH dps even more. MCH is considered the "Most Complex DPS Job" according to this pool. Since they include RNG with weapon skills and need to manage 11 oGCDs.
