You're missing the point.

This is way over your head or something... I'm sorry but it's very simple.

The OP being a MRD is going to be closer than the Lancers, even if they are stacked. You can tell VERY EASILY if you are the target of eruptions (I'm sorry if you can't tell where the center of a circle is). In the case where the eruption is not targeting you, escape to the nearest safe spot (forward, left, right) in the case that the eruption is targeting you.. run backwards are normal and you should not get hit if you weren't in animation lock.

A few posts up someone described it pretty well, about the distance traveling back through an eruption...

With you being MRD, and closer (by at least 5%, but most likely 20% from reading the posts) you must run MUCH more distance to be safe. This changes the reaction window down from .4s as stated previously to about .1s or less which is nearly impossible and falls in line with you only escaping 1/10 times. I can guarantee you CANNOT run across 75% of an Eruption and be safe under any circumstance unless you are living in Japan.

Just because you don't know how to do it, doesn't mean its a bad habit. I've been doing that since my first Ifrit fight... it's very simple. Or maybe I'm just smarter than your average bear.
