If you are looking for a Free Company (guild) there are a number of good ones on Malboro depending on what you are looking for. Just among those with open recruitment there are over 1500 free companies total, 508 with housing, and 86 with housing and more than 50 active members.

I'm a part of Insanitorium but our recruitment is currently closed. We still occasionally add people but only by a recommendation from within. We have a teamspeak server and regular holiday gatherings. A lot of us are going to be at Fan Fest this weekend so our online presence will be less.

The main things to look for are:

1. What time zone are you playing in? You'll want to find a group that is active the same time you are.
2. Are you interested in rushing to end game areas or just taking your time? Different groups will have different focus.
3. Are you interested in pvp?
4. Do you prefer/like using voice communication like TeamSpeak?
5. Are you interested in crafting/gathering or just combat?

You may have already received an in-game invite to the Novice Network. This is a good resource during all of the 2.x content. The chat channel on Malboro is *mostly* helpful.
