    Raid Finder A9-Savage

    Wello everyone,

You might have seen my post raving how cool RF is for Sophie Ex, week 3 and it still rocks -clear rate is higher than fail or abandon rate.

Since I cannot find a Raid group on Cerberus, I thought I would try RF for AS9. Been trying since 5pm til 10pm and queue time is over 30min with maybe 3 people in the queue at most (looking at the window "forming party").

I am not sure how non-static players get to complete A9S. My PF on Cerberus is all about "no bonus" groups.

I heard JP servers are full of puggers, anyone could point me how to achieve AS9 without a static? Is it meant for RF really? Or stick to PF's?

Any guidance is welcome, and if you are reading this from Cerberus and have a spot for a NIN please take me <3

It's not all roses here on the JP datacenters as well. It's equally bad.

As of right now, I've been waiting for a A10S for 4 hours plus. This was never the case back in the coil days, the DF was pretty active back then with alot of parties and people constantly attempting it.

The RF implementation seems to have failed big time. Not quite sure how to fix it at this time since it's already so far into the game, but perhaps the ilevel requirements could be lowered just VERY SLIGHTLY or give people the option to set a lower ilevel requirement in the RF. The whole aim was to alleviate the problem of party matching but the RF seems to be working as bad or worse than the PF at best.

It seems like nobody actually bothers to do raid stuff nowadays ever since 3.0. I really miss the good ole days of coil with so much activity, there was always chances to hop into a practice party or just join PUGS to attempt a clear.

Right now, it seems almost impossible to get any form of savage practice or clear without a static

Thats not really compareable. Coil got into DF and solo queueable together with adding echo and nerfs. In this thread the OP is talking about the current raid tier, not the past one.

Have you tried starting your own practice party in PF? Slap on the newcomer friendly tag and maybe even slightly lower iLvl. Imagine if there was 8 or even more people in your position, wishing PF would have practice parties but no one starting it.

Is A10S not the current raid tier?

The RF was supposed to function like a DF matching players and it is solo queable. But it's not working like intended. I waited 5hrs plus to form a A10S group. Are you telling me the entire data center only had 6 people interested in doing A10S? If that's the case, the RF has failed big time or there is something seriously wrong with the content to the point nobody wants to do it. 6 people on a data center wanting to do A10S is miserable.

Even PF seems to take forever to fill and more often than not it just disbands due to lack of interest as the required headcount is not reached.

Yes it is. But Coil wasn't the current raid tier anymore wehen you could queue up for it in DF. So everyone was heavily overgeared on top of echo and nerfs. Thats the point I wanted to say. And first coil ways very easy after the nerfs, except T5. Also with Coil in DF there were no class template to prevent missing classes or duplicates (which was the main reason for some of the nerfs), as you have in raid finder.

Yeah for Coils (which I miss a lot), I had a raid group, always part of a static to get the content done.

But now that I cannot be online(real life work schedule reasons <insert here>) -the issue is that I WANT to raid, but I need to pug it, and if I only have two days a week where I can do this content, being hrs on a PF that says "training A9S" but no one is joining, then maybe its because the content is not appealing? Or is it that all raiders have already downed A9S and A10S and they can join the PF farm [NO BONUS OR KICK] kind of groups?

Not sure if its RF's config that is not attuned right or if its DF that is needed, or what not. All I wanna know is how pugs do it out there without a static, I wanna RAID into Savage 9 and 10 now that I have my sophie weapone :3

JP community is different. Because of their culture, they don't want to waste other people's time and do more research, and practice before jumping into things like raid finder. Because of their mindset they are better players on average.

If you want to raid I will tell you what I tell people in every MMO I have ever played. You have to be willing to server transfer. The chances that you will find a group that matches your schedule, raids at your desired pace, are equally skilled, and that you will get along with on your own server isn't great no matter what game you play. Either create a group yourself or search all servers for one that fits you. My group for example fills out a scheduling document the week before as to when they'll be available and we plan our raids accordingly. We have days/times we aim for but they don't always happen. There is a great LFG subreddit for this.

Note: I'm not saying transfer to gilg. I'm saying find a raid team then transfer to that server.
