Battle Emotes? Can I have this?

Big thanks to the Development Team for all the new features added to the /gpose function. I really like taking screenshots in game!


As much as I enjoy taking glamour shots of my character, one thing I'm not able to do by myself is to take battle screenshots, which is something I would like to be able to do... I was able to cheat a little with the /vpose and /bstance emotes:





So I was wondering if it would be possible to get emote versions of the battle abilities.
It would be an additional tab in emotes that would rotate according to your current job and have a pose version of the battle abilities for that job. For instance, on DRG a player might have ChaosThrustPose and GeirskogulPose. When you use the emotes it would do the animation for the battle ability without actually doing any sort of damage.

However, I realize that maybe emote spam could be a concern...

Right now the /gpose feature makes your character perform the last emote and expression you do outside of /gpose in a loop.

So another option would be to expand /gpose to include battle actions and abilities. So if I'm in an area, I could run over and perform my battle ability once, then when I enter /gpose my character would perform the ability in a loop. It would be up to me at that point to set up the shot accordingly, but players wouldn't have a plethora of spammable emotes to clutter screens in cities with this option...

Yes, attacking a dummy was one of the first things I tried with the camera. Was disappointed that all that happened was me standing there with the battle music playing.

I approved of this idea.

Tried to take a nice panoramic screenshot of my NIN doing Doton. All I got was awkward standing. Suffice to say, I was sorely disappointed.
