The extra typography detail on maps is fantastic, cartography is a great way to express the lore of XIV.
To OP: Is this really a distressing game mechanic for you or did you just want to type the word "F*ck" and get away with it?

It was just a minor bitching, I'm amazed the thread got so much attention. Part of me actually likes the font for the flavor it adds to things, but again, having to look elsewhere to interpret the meaning of it breaks game immersion, defeating the point of adding said flavor.
I think the extra detail is just a detail and not meant to frustrate you. All important places seem to have over lays in English on them, too.It was just a minor bitching, I'm amazed the thread got so much attention. If you are having problems describing/communicating where to go there is always the grid-system. And well, if you are having problems reading the typography mostly likely the people you are trying to communicate with are too, lol. I guess what I am saying is "the Mor Dhona zone line in the Shroud is west of Camp Crimson Bark near Lilyswim Lake" is more confusing and less precise than: "the Mor Dhona zone line in the Shroud is in the NW corner of (3,34)"
Hope that helps ya!
