Script error on launcher start-up after Windows update

This is a little bit of a high priority question, seeing as I would very much like to make use of that monthly subscription. So I logged off to let my computer restart and update like it wanted, and when I came back it had a bit of a freak out. So I forced a shutdown and restarted it, which seems to have made everything work fine *except* FF14.

Whenever I try to boot up the launcher i get this:

    "Script Error

    Line: 20

    Char: 2

    Error: 'Global' is undefined

    Code: 0

    URL: http://frontier.ffxiv.com/version_3_...=2016-10-02-11

Do you wish to continue running scripts on this page?"

Hitting yes will make it all black minus the select language box, and it will be otherwise unusable. I looked at other suggestions on other areas where this seemed to pop up, but I cannot access the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg to make sure the values are correct, and there seems to be no way to otherwise get it working.

For reference I am on W10 when i got an update.. is it possible it got rid of the IE I need to use the launcher?

Update: You can actually call this case resolved. It appears that Windows 10 just made it ridiculously difficult to find the Internet Explorer program.

Solution was to use the Windows key, scroll down to W and windows accessories, then select. From there you picked settings, and deleted your cookies/temporary internet cache.
