That doesn't mean normal should be a complete joke. Asking you to play a little above "click three buttons" isn't asking much. Besides, this is week one. We'll be so laughably overgeared soon enough, it won't be an issue.

So much this. Savage is on the complete other end of the spectrum. Not like Alex is required.

My only gripe is, from what I've seen, is weakness or brink of death can cause a prey to be an insta kill. Had a run where he LOVED me and I ate some floor. Maybe a small tuning there or something, otherwise the fight is a perfect mix of difficult but not "omgwhatsgoingonholdme".

THIS. It is an MMO, with a community... network. Or, I saw you have a DRG... there are a few WONDERFUL guides that can take any rookie to a decent dragoon. The game gives you the tools, but after 50/60 the training wheels come off.

if they make it any easier they should remove the loot. Then every1 will want it to go back 2 the way it was where u beat it and actually EARNED the loot. Bottom line is u just want gear without having to actually work 4 it, if u where actually worried about it being a story thing you'd realize it doesn't matter cause u would only run it once and ur done in which the slight bit of difficulty wouldn't matter cause u can always find ppl in the pf to help if ur afraid of the df.

I found A10 to be the easiest as long as no one stood on the buttons.

Some people need to calm down read what the OP was saying. Here, I'll break it down:

In comparison to A9, A10 & A11 the healing requirements of A12 seem out if step.

Now, the OP did not say that it needed nerfing, or that it was too difficult, just that in comparison to the rest of the new Alexander raids it is unusually tight. Imagine the jump from healing Brayflox to Stone Vigil at their original ilevel - it comes as a shock. It's not particularly difficult to heal SV but if you're expecting an easier time like in Brayflox you've had it. That is what I took from the original post.

And that was my intent. Shocked was a good way to put it, even watching the guide video, I was not prepared for the damage numbers going out.

My first run(blind) took 2 tries. My second we wiped 5~ times & quit & my third took 2 tries & succeeded(my friend healed this). It really separates the okay healer from the good healer & I think it's fantastic as is, just like Midas 4 on release. If anything it's a little boring for the MT :v

Anyone else find it is a bit over tuned for a story mode raid?

Edit: For clarity, my point is it's a normal, mode story duty. It's not hardcore content, and shouldn't have hardcore damage numbers and mechanics. SE should want players to complete it and be able to see the story, not bang their heads against a boss. I'm not saying severe nerfs, I'm simply saying in the scheme of A9,10,11, and 12, A12N seems quite a step up from the others. Even A11N IMO had less consistent raidwide damage that had to be healed.
A11 was worse. You know how many times I ate floor because healers wouldn't shield me and top me off when I got preyed? Too many. I even told them that they needed to give attention to preyed targets and still got bodied.

    It's bad enough I'm a DRG main
