So I have been playing the game for about three months now I love it , but I like playing it a certain way I have four characters all together. My question is about crafting is it 100 % necessary to level all crafters to fifty are is it ok just to level them each to 15 and cul to 37 to make hq items I run certain classes on each so I would rather just burn some leves and craft the ones that certain character may need. Ive gotten lots of advice on this Ive heard its a must to do all to 50 but some of my friends in game have just level certain ones all the way to 60 so Im jw thank you.

It depends on what you wish to do with your crafts. If you want to be able to craft high level items and make them high quality, then yes it is necessary to level all (or most) of them to at least 50 (some past that). It's because of the game's cross-class system: you can't really do as much with the abilities from one class than you can with abilities from five classes.

Same goes for battle classes: for each job, you will have to level the base class of the job, but also two other classes for important cross-class skills, and without them your job simply isn't nearly as powerful. It's beneficial in many ways to level all your battle and other classes on one character.

I came up with a plan , this is my main whm im gona level all crafters with her prob all gathers also, one of my alts is on the same server so she will handle both on that server. I have two other alts which i would move over but they are on the two highest populated servers and I like the change of pace. They are battle classes tho , warrior and dragoon so i figured if i just leveled up my miners to sixty that then I could just get my fc to make the gear for me. I figure that would be easier than trying to leveling crafting on every last one of my alts

Also, crafted gear isn't very widely used in this game, so if you're just planning to level crafters to make yourself gear, you shouldn't bother. It's mainly used by the players going for world firsts right as a new patch has come out before it's replaced by tomestone and raid gear. Of course selling those pieces can be highly profitable, but it requires a very big investment in your crafting class levels and gear (gearing crafter and gatherer classes is at least as time consuming if not even more so than gearing your battle classes).

I will dispute this. Crafted gear is very widely used during the levelling process and for alternate classes because the game restricts your gear progression of your main class.
