    Yes Ingenuity I and II never quiet work in the simulator correctly (the exact calculation SE uses for these is still a mystery). So it has to be checked by hand to see what the progress looks like. The simulator editors will usually try to patch this at some point, but its one of those things that is a headache.

    On another note...I have an alt character that I do leatherworker specialization on and she just has ingenuity 1, and I really don't notice much difference from my main with ingenuity 2. I mean, it's obviously less, but not so much so that I have to use rapid synth an extra time. Ingenuity 2 really is pretty meh it seems. These skills are quite strange.

    I'm about to meld my remaining couple of pieces of gear before starting 4* crafts, and I just wanted confirmation that the OP rotation works with exactly 1023 craftsmanship, whenever I sim it I'm short 3 progress, so I'd preferably like confirmation from someone who has succeeded in game with exactly 1023 before I round out my gear and lock in my stats. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Tenks, For the MuMe PbP macro 1022 craftsmanship is required otherwise the synth will fail. For the MaMa PbP macro 995 craftsmanship is technically enough. If you have 995 craftsmanship you'll need 13 out of 16 Flawless Synthesis. With 1023 craftsmanship you'll need 12 out of 16 Flawless Synthesis.

    Because of these requirements I advise folks to get at least 995 craftsmanship and use Onion soup. You can use other foods, just be aware of how that changes the availability of which approach you can do and if you'll want more craftsmanship melds to hit a given requirement.

    The more HQ materials you use, the better your odds will be. That said - until you're comfortable making things by hand, DON'T MACRO THEM!

    I personally do not have much more than the minimum Craftsmanship and Control, but I am maxed out on base CP (430) and I use HQ Seafood Stew for the CP. With luck on the Hasty Touches I have gotten 100% on 4 star materials from entirely NQ raw materials. More often though, I wind up between 80% and 91%. Most of those come out HQ, and I simply pick between the HQ and NQ materials for the final products to get me a decent starting Quality. As long as you have the CP, and the cross class moves, you should be doing well enough too.

    As Roth/Hammer said The more HQ the better your odds will be. For around 5,500 starting quality your odds are probably 97-99% with the macro. But as Roth has said its best to be comfortable making something by hand so you really understand what is going on and how things work.

    Here's a Macro I put together. It works on my Goldsmith with 995 Crafting and 957 Control (without food) with 430 base CP (You will need to use Seafood Stew). Also it assumes you start with at least 3000 Quality. I believe you can miss up to 6 Flawless and still have it work. The last Careful Synthesis II isn't really needed, but I threw it in there in case disaster strikes with Flawless Synthesis.

    In your macro, there are only 9 steps between the 2nd and 3rd Comfort Zone. Thus, 8 CP is wasted. Your macro requires 478 CP, which is quite a lot. I understand you have 430 base CP, which means you have 480 CP after eating Seafood Stew. But personally, I am still using a few pieces of my old i170 accessories, so I don't have 480 CP... I have only 475 CP. I took your macro and did a little re-arrangement, and I found I could do exactly the same rotation with 470 CP just by moving a CS II up as a "filler step". The remaining steps are also slightly re-arranged, but are the same in general.

    That Innovative Touch at the end is very well placed;

    for those interested in just how strong it is:

    IQ= 20% of base control per bonus stack (not to include the first... so a x11 IQ is a bonus of 10)
    BB= 100% + 20% per bonus of IQ (ex: x11 IQ = 10 bonus [10*20%=200%])
    IT= 50% of BASE control for the next 3 steps
    ING2= about 17% quality buff on 4 star
    GS= Doubles the next Touch [AND IT's actually applied after all your other buffs are calculated]

    Final touch= GS*( [ING2+BB]*(baseControl+ bonus_IQs*baseControl+IT*baseControl) ).

    so if you pull out the effective IT (Innovative Touch) u got GS*(ING2+BB)*IT*baseControl;

    Assume you only got x5 IQ .... :P ; (thats a bonus of 4)

    2*(.17+1+.2*4)*0.5*baseControl=
    1.97*baseControl > 1.5*baseControl [which is the bonus of using IT on 3 Hasty Touches]

    Moral of the story: if your IQ is =>3 (2 or more bonuses ) you're better off using innovation/Innovative Touch at the end of your rotation.
