Personally, I prefer to use Muscle Memory instead of Maker's Mark when I do macros. This is because of 2 reasons. (1) The whole string is Flawless Syn is just too slow, Muscle Memory is a lot faster. Yes, MuMe is weaker, mostly because it sacrifices 10 durab. But the speed is worth it. (2) Sometimes, when you upgrade your whole set of gear entirely, and your craftsmanship increases by a lot, there's such a thing as "too many successful Flawless Syn", which may lead to a pre-mature completion if CS II's are used as "filler steps". In contrast, MuMe rarely has this problem.

The macro listed above has 43 steps, which means you will need a 3-part macro.

Below, I have generated a 2-part macro that requires only 472 CP. It has 1 fewer touch than the macros above, so it's less powerful for sure, but it's a hell lot faster with also a lower CP cost. In addition, I have included a Byregot's Brow there as well.

By fitting a Byregot's Brow before Ingen2 with wait time, it will automatically execute Byregot's Brow under "Good" or "Excellent" conditions. Thus, this avoids an "Excellent" falling onto the Ingen2 step, which leaves "Poor" for the Byregot's Blessing. Ingen2 gives very little boost comparing to a "Good" on a Brow. So even if it wasn't an "Excellent", but just a "Good", the Brow will still be very strong. Notice that Brow only has a 70% success rate comparing to Blessing which has 90%. Hence, SH II is necessary. Luckily, under the arrangement here, SH II had already been used earlier, ensuring that the Brow is 100%. So no extra CP is needed. If Brow is executed, IQ stack = 0, and Blessing will not be executed. Since there's a wait time after Brow, Ingen2 will still be executed, providing the necessary boost on progress before the CS IIs.

This 2-part macro does require 1024 craftsmanship though!

I agree with you that Innovation is very, very strong... But I just cannot fit it anywhere in my 2-part macro above. CP cost is an issue.

As for the 3-part macro above, Innovation still cannot be fitted in there because of the limitation of SH II steps.

In the 3-part macro, one can swap out the 2nd last touch with an Innovative Touch, which will significantly increase the quality gain from the last touch and the Blessing. But it's a big big gamble, as Innovative Touch only has a 40% success rate, and only 70% even under SH II. Furthermore, Innovative Touch is only available for Specialist Classes, which means a macro with Innovative Touch cannot be used by all 8 classes.

I think Innovative Touch is a great skill for gambling when someone is manual crafting, and having too many hasty failure. Then it's a good way to "come back".

The Innv touch is for the OP macro that includes MuMe; like someone already said doing the flawless syn route is extremely long......and only perk is a guaranteed Basic touch :P--that's not worth 18 more steps PER SYNTH

Interesting. However, in most cases, the filler Careful Synthesis II would actually finish the recipe too early. Now if I had 4-6 Flawless failures, it would work, that is not too common.

Granted it is faster, but none of my crafters have 1024 Craftmanship. I was looking for something that I could use on the lowest of my crafters. The Maker's Mark works, even though it is a 3 part Macro, and is really slow. It is more reliable than the Rapid Synthesis model I was using before.

Also Innovative Touch only works if that class is a specialist. The classes I was using are not my specialists, so it had to be left out. Working for the lowest common denominator can be a harsh mistress.

Do you have 1024 craftsmanship as I stated in the post?
