I don't mind! I came up with it playing around in doxxx's simulator after using the one you yourself had listed for a while for 3-star stuffs.
The non-macro version for hands-on work is mostly inspiration / ideas from Ashe10 though

I can't really take credit for either one but I did modify the groundwork provided for me

I'm not sure why everyone is using Baked Onion Soup, the extra craftsmanship doesn't seem to make much difference. I prefer Seafood Stew. I like the Max CP option in the OP but with 996 Craft, 930+31 Control, and 430+50 CP. I put an Innovation between the last two Touches, and therefore only have enough CP for one Hasty->Precise conversion, unless I get a ToT.

I admit, I'm a little daft here. Can you post Saber's "proposed" rotation? Is it the second sequence posted in post #12 of this thread?

    It should be this one!
(Minimum requirements 1022/924/427 with seafood stew, or 994/955/429 with baked onion soup - 8 less CP on either if you aren't specialist)

If the extra 28 craftsmanship saves you a touch by hitting a craftsmanship breakpoint it's usually worthwhile!

I use Baked onion soup for three reasons:
    1) because quite a few people I work with need the extra craftmanship for core rotations, so building my guides listing it works out easier for me.
    2) As mentioned it often is enough to trigger the next crafting breakpoint. In my case the extra 28 craftsmanship allows me to use a Muscle Memory macro without extra crazy melds.
    3) Its stupid cheap to make. Which also lets me give it out to FC members whenever needed.

You are accurate as always Silverbane though, Seafood stew is better if you do NOT need the craftsmanship.

This is what I've been using to craft 4 star food and intermediate mats. It requires 475 cp, but the craft requirement is low (I can do it at 1005 with no craftmanship from food, and I'm sure you can cut off a little more - although not certain how much since the sim doesn't like ingen II). It allows for full stacks even with a hasty miss, and it's pretty fast. It can also be used on any class without missing any cross class skills.

    Code:
    /ac "Muscle Memory" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <me> <wait.2>
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <me> <wait.2>
    /ac "Ingenuity II" <me> <wait.2>

If you want to use it as a macro (I do), you just have to check whether both rapids hit after the first step - if not, reclaim and go again. The chance that a rapid fails AND reclaim fails is absurdly small, like 3% if my math is correct.

If you like the Byregot's Brow check, you can easily insert it after the Great Strides (and move Innovation to the slot after that) while still being only two steps.

To sum it all up, it works pretty well when I'm making food or intermediate mats, even from all nq mats. I wouldn't use it on a final product (you'd have to drop a cross class for ToT on some classes, not to mention the lack of spots you could even feasibly use it, and it doesn't allow for any Precise Touches unless you hit a ToT or forego innovation), but it's a nice time saver for the other stuff.

On average, over 100 attempts you'll end up with 64 finished @29 steps and if you reclaim it costs a minimum of 26 steps where your breakpoints are; so, 36 reclaims at 26 steps + 64 successes at 29 steps = 936+ 1856=2792 steps for 64 finished, or 43.625 steps on average, so you're saving an average of maybe 2 or 3 steps. (my mama macro is 43 steps total, so actually more efficient)
