    Is the Ironworks set sufficient for 3.4 gathering?

    Hello, I am currently, leveling up a Botonist.
    My friend is planning on crafting me a Ironworks HQ set for me and was wondering if the set would be enough to get by.
    I really enjoy flying around and gather stuff so I picked up this profession.

    My goal is to make about 1 mil a day just casually gathering.
    Would this be possible with the ironworks set in 3.4?

    At the moment, you'll need a minimum of 860 Gathering to successfully gather from the 3.4 Nodes on both Botanist and Miner. Provided you overmeld, you can easily reach these levels~

    You can also upgrade the old Red Scrip equipment with the Goblin Die to the Augmented stage. I did this for my Main Hand + Body pieces, with 2* HQ crafted and melded offhand + accessories and reached the levels with only 2 Tier IV overmelds on the offhand

    The ironworks hq is sufficient yes, but it'll require melding. I have about 4/5 of the old i170 accessories pentamelded and one ironworks pentamelded accessory (I have the others, but haven't gotten around to melding them), as well as pentamelding the boots, legs, and belt, and that puts me at a bit over the gathering threshold. I'm sure you can meld in a more budget friendly way if you just want to gather and don't care about capping stats or how much gp you have.

    Don't even need full ironworks as long as you like blowing materia up.

    I have HQ ironworks hat, gloves, augmented fieldkeep mainhand and shirt, HQ high mythrite offhand, 1L170 HQ accessories, IL150 HQ pants and boots. What can be pentamelded is. Gathering 902.

    If you use gathering food then no you do not need to overmeld. I reach 860 with food and none of my IWs are overmelded.

    Its not a cap but there is a sometimes bonus at 870. Another bonus at higher perception too I think, will post if I find it.
