They will eventually remove the cross class system and give every healing job Protect/Swiftcast equivalents. It's not like we have any options with the system now, better to be rid of it sooner than later.

Dancer would need its own gear set, as it has no need for mind. Gear sharing between healers is a bit of a luxury considering most DPS classes have their own as well. I think it opens up more room for diversity. I imagine Dancer gear would prioritize dexterity and would provide stats in piety, accuracy, determination, critical hit, and spell speed. One thing that bothers me with this. Gear sharing. Would dancer have its own unique gear set. Besides the fact I am not a fan of it not being able to share with the other healers. Do you envision your concept of dancer sharing gear with ninjas?
Also find the cross class wierd. Having a healer without access to stone skin and protection is odd. Means you can never have two heal one group, and if a full party got double dancer in duty finder they'd be at a substantial disadvantage. I think healers have resigned to forever have cross class of CNJ/THM. Not without the class having their own version of protection or swift cast.
As for the strange cross class options, you have a point that it looks strange for a healer role not to cross class conjurer. At first, this was out of fear that Dancers would cross class Cure and replace Curing Waltz with a higher potency, but since I changed Dancer to dexterity instead of mind, it's more of an aesthetic choice now.
Earth Blues was designed to be the Dancer's answer to protect--virtually identical and doesn't stack with Protect. Swiftcast is a cross class of Thaumaturge as well, and not Conjurer. Dancer would still have access to it. The only real thing that Dancer would be missing is Stoneskin. Stoneskin isn't used quite as often throughout fights because it can be draining on MP, so besides going into a fight with Stoneskin on everyone, I don't see it that often.
Something to think about is what Dancer gets instead of Stoneskin--Mantra.

Earth Blue, I see it now. Stone skin does see some use in the higher level end game content.
Also lots of classes have sets to share.
Drk/Pld/War - tank set share
Whm/Sch/Ast - healer set share
Brd/Mch - Physical Ranged DDs set share
Smn/Blm - Caster DDs set share
The Melee are the only ones that failed preschool. Mnk, Drg, and Nin don't know the values of "sharing is caring."
I actually think having its own set of gear is more beneficial than sharing with the other healers. Here's why:
Endgame gear is almost all unique, meaning you can only have one of each piece. For BiS sets, you'll be melding materia on these unique pieces of gear. Most endgame healers meld accuracy to avoid missing their dps, and compliment that with something like piety. Because Dancer would rely a lot more on accuracy, since Drain Samba requires DPSing to heal, accuracy should be built into their gear so that Dancers don't feel like they must meld accuracy in order to avoid healing loss. By having their own set of gear, players don't have to choose between an optimal Dancer set vs an optimal WHM/SCH/AST set.
I see dancer has a support melee dps. Sry but a.dancer as a healer is a bit crazy
Why? Dancers have been healers since the beginning of the job's lifespan.
how about no.
I am really missing the Salsa Dance move here.
