RMT chat restrictions limited to tells?

The patch notes state this:

Players can now report RMT messages via a menu in the log window.

Any reports sent using this function will be processed automatically. When it is confirmed the reported player is sending RMT messages, their ability to speak with other players will be restricted.

Does this mean that all forms of communication are restricted, including /say? I ask this because while I noticed that pretty much the RMT bots sending /tells have pretty much been wiped out (I haven't received a single tell since patch thus far), the RMT bots spamming /say are still hanging about.

Honestly it wouldn't make sense to restrict /tell and not /say, and not all other variations of chat for that matter, as the bots clearly use and no doubt WILL use all channels available to them.

Really I haven't gotten a single RMT tell and I've played a couple of hours (2 to 3) every evening since the patch went live. I have however received tells from some of my apartment neighbors.

Funnily enough it's the opposite for me, i've only just started getting RMT tells... but it might be because i've also just bought a house in the Mist?

Okay it seems like even RMT bots spamming /tell are being dealt with. Just takes longer I suppose since their range is very specific to a certain area. I've gotten maybe a couple of RMT tells as well, but this is such an improvement compared to before.

I hope they still clarify the "ability to speak to other players" bit in the future though, because when I see that I think /tells. Or is that just me?

Phoenix server here -sometimes has queues.
RMT spam (in general chat) seems to be daily in Gridania, but different names everyday as I report and block as soon as they pop up.

Couerl is medium/medium-low pop.

I still haven't seen any reduction in RMT tells.

Reminder that the volume of RMT tells is dependent on your server population, lower pop servers are open for new creations more often than higher pop servers, so they are hit relentlessly by RMT.

Brynhildr use to have ton of RMT, but ever since the report button was released, it has never been so quite before

Yesterday during a 5 hour play I got one rmt tell.

One.

That's 10% of the usual rmt spam I get in the same time frame and I play in a medium to low pop server. I say the report function works wonders.
