I'd love to see Gunblade introduced in an 'Imperial' themed expansion, I would like to be able to go into the enemy cities/areas and listen to the NPCs talk, see their architecture and do quests based around infiltrating these areas

I'd imaging Beastmaster or Mechanic could be here too since they use Wolves and Machina a lot

And honestly if they did add it as a class/job it wouldn't be nearly enough for me to quit the game in any sense. Just a FF staple I don't like from a FF game I couldn't care less about.

I dont think anyone assumed that. Nothing wrong with it either.

FFXIV already have ones that we can't use but I am not going to call it a gunblade though.

I know that they have it, but I just wouldn't care for it as an official class.
My best guess would be be Mystic Knight if they did.

I've always said I wanted gunblades and gunhalberds to use but at the end of the day I think making them usable would sort of take away the "magic" and make the imperials look that much less special.

The imperials still got massive battle airships Magitek armour and probably more. I dont see the problem in emerging fighters who use (modified) gunblades designed by (maybe) Cid.
