Does this Tarutaru garb exist in XIV? (Apururu's garb and other Windurstians)

I know in FFXI I always wanted to wear the garbs on my Taru like these. I know depending where you went in Windurst, they had different colors, but the overall style was nice. Tho.. never saw it for players to wear.

I don't think anything like that does at this time. And I don't think any XIV gear can come close to it if you were to try and glamour the look.

I miss XI armor/gear. I would love nothing more than to see some of the classic XI styles hop on over to the world of Eorzea!

:O oh wow no I didn't see this ! Yes it would be a start. Fingers crossed something of XI comes out. And if it does happen to be the ministry outfit, I think all "taru's" on Eorzea should wear them. It would be adorable. My heart hurts a little seeing that picture. I do miss XI a lot.

Not all Tarus look bad with eyes. (Unless you get the Tarutaru Mannequin which looks soulless)
But yea, this garb still would be awesome.


At least we CAN make characters like these. However, Wouldnt it be funny to have an in game event using these guys?


Edit: Just found this nice illustration which could show possible dye colors if they did consider it in XIV. Complete with hairstyle choice?

Has anyone seen any type of old Tarutaru outfits that one could make in XIV somehow?

Not specfically tarutaru gear, but there are a couple of armour sets from FFXI in the game, the old Koenig's armour set (as 'Wootz Fending' set) for tanks, and the Ares armour set (as 'Wootz Maiming') for LNC and DRG. Sadly as these are melee only if you're a mage (which ironically the taru were masters at in FFXI), they're not wearable. But it's a start.

Unfortunately there is no FFXI-style mage equipment in FFXIV yet - I had hoped that the old Shantotto/FFXI-crossover event would reward players with her gear (the Windurstian 'Conquest' gear and the Fire Staff)... but alas.

Well at Fanfest, someone did just ask about the DRK Death Scythe.. and turns out the guy who made it in XI is now part of the XIV team. We just need to poke them more about our desires they said.
