@Yallaid
I agree with pretty much everything you've said, but I want to just throw some things out that might provide some more perspective for everybody.
The casual playerbase is fine. There's no need for them, and they don't want, to do the hardcore stuff. It's simply too much of an investment and they don't need it. So the two playerbases right now are pretty much at odds with each other. On one hand, we have the midcore, on the other, the hardcore. So, arguing that a majority of this game is for casuals isn't wrong, it's simply misguided. Casuals aren't interested in this type of content, what needs to happen is exactly what you said, a 3 tiered system.
I hate to have to agree with you because Diadem is actually my personal hope for keeping this game alive for me long-term. I'm actually not much of a raider and love open world content in MMO's.
I really hope this game does one day open up to 'horizontal progression'. But until SE gives Yoshi the resources he needs, I think they should make the hard call to completely focus on the current end-game until it is absolutely right. Then we can finally start having new things.
Isn't that actually defeating the purpose of being here (by design perspective)? I mean, the game has never been advertised to be focused on the concept challenging difficult content, unlike an infamous "Soul" series. If you were content with such a minimum, then that's fine, but it really does seem like a mismatch of expectations.
Like if someone expected a heavy focus of that top-down shooter game in uhh... CoD: Black Ops (I think). There would be no reason for someone to really expect that or to really get the full extent of the game just from playing that small part of the games full content. I guess a closer example for us would be what you're doing, or if someone decided to hit up ONLY Chocobo racing, then cried out that the game is catering to everyone else because they don't further updates to racing.
More than welcome to do it, but you kinda leave yourself more vulnerable to being disappointed or bored if you don't enjoy the majority content. Likewise, opinions on matters regarding said majority lose value for obvious reasons (like playing only for reasons that the devs don't primarily intend you to).

I clear all the content, im hardcored raider , close to have all mounts ( yokay fenrir included) did all seasonal event . I want a challemge now i don't have it
Again, this is what I WOULD like
Mostly casual content, M/C is the NM raid (think coil difficulty) and Ex primals, H/C is Savage. Right now that's not the way NM/Savage is tuned and I think that's a mistake. That's not the way I would prefer it.
I'll back off my previous statement a bit. It's a stretch to say game IS balanced right now. But I think Creator Savage being "midcore" is difficulty is way better than having overtuned savage that's 99% unapproachable and virtually NO mid-core content. It's an improvement. Again, what I'd like to see is above.
But I'd also like to point out that if you're a H/C raider and you come expecting to play Savage and NOTHING else, you're going to be bored for a LOT of the patch because SE simply doesn't have the resources to cater to you. That's just the reality of the situation.
Exactly. The stereotype that HC raiders ONLY do HC content is entirely wrong. I play for countless hours every day, spend hours sharing yard decorating ideas for the FC house, gather mats endlessly to equip airships, also acquired the wonderful Yokai mount after some heavy-duty FATE grinding, and I'm enjoying the new Squadrons so far.
But I LIVE for the challenging of raiding in this game. Without a challenge, everything else seems hollow. And seeing the clears racking up so fast...this isn't going to be a challenge.
You honestly come off as though you're just not having fun period. I mean, you clearly like having goals (like collecting stuff), but if it's just out of habit and not a source of fun, I think you know what most of us would say lol.
SE gave hardcore raiders what they wanted last patch and it very nearly killed off the raid community.
The trouble with the game is that it's far too skewed in the direction of total casual or elite hardcore. It seems A9-A12S has been SE's attempt to tone things back towards midcore and unfortunately, I feel this is the way they prefer to go going forward as much as you'd hate it.
It's a hell of a cheaper, easier option than developing a 3rd difficulty tier, as nice as that would be.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
