Is the Raid Finder broken?

Hiya everyone! I'm having trouble finding a group in Raid Finder. Before 3.4 I couldn't get a group for Savage due to long queue times and now I can't get a group for Sephirot EX. I do understand the patch just came out and lots of people are busy doing new content. However before 3.4 I was farming Sephirot for the bird mount in Duty Finder. Queue times for me were 5-10 mins. Now that it's been added to Raid Finder I can't get a group AT ALL. It doesn't matter what settings I use either. Average wait time's always 30+ and the most I seen was me and another dps on the wait screen. I was afraid of this happening once they decided to add it to Raid Finder.

I can queue up for old Extremes and dungeons and still get a party but I can't with Raid Finder? I tried looking stuff up on Raid Finder but it's dated back months ago. People were saying "no one uses Raid Finder" "I queued as a Whm for hours and no party" etc etc. So is it totally broken or what? Please help.

Most peopel are liek me, and dont even know where raid finder is, nor how to use it, even if we spend time trying to figure out out manually (though short of googling it, as we end up just using duty finder instead or party finder)

Sephiroth Ex is dead at the moment, all people are focusing on Sophia Ex and it pops really fast in Raid Finder. Maybe you are unlucky and there are to many of your role queueing...so in my experience (tank) i have to wait like 5 mins for Sophia Ex...maybe there are to much or to less queueing for your fights...

Thanks for the replies. I figured it might be the same role restrictions in the Raid Finder making it difficult. That and the new content release. I know people were after the bird mounts like crazy and the queue times were way faster in Duty Finder since you can have more of the same role. Plus the new content is out so I'll wait awhile.

I also guess that at some point they may put those fights back in the Duty Finder since they did that with the last Savage Alex. Who knows, but for now I guess I'll jump on the Sophia fight. ^^

I have qued a few times for Sophia Ex as a healer and it has never popped. I waited one time about an hour. Oh wait it popped once but someone withdrew immediately and it didn't pop again.

I'm on que for Sophia ex for 3 hours now and it never pops. Only missing 1 dps and then the other people on que suddenly disappear. Que for it was pretty fast yesterday tho.

I hope SE moves the old Extremes back into the DF. It's nice having the option to queue for the current Extreme with Raid Finder instead of needing a premade but the move seems to have hurt the queue times for the old ones a lot.
I'd guess the longer queues are due to lack of awareness of the existence of Raid Finder, the Raid Finder being pickier about the jobs being matched together, and the Raid Finder splitting up the players in queue between those looking to clear and those looking to practice.

I hope they move all high end ec primals back to the duty finder as well. I have spent more time in que for all the high end ex primals than eactually doing the fight. Example, i spent the entire day today trying que for thordan or sephirot but with a 30+ wait time, it never happened. I tried forming a party in PF after that and that got me one run before everyone left. This is ridiculous, they need to either put it back in duty finder or put in both to satisfy both hardcore players and casuals like me. It makes me angry knowing i have been locked out of content. Please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to add that I have since gotten into two sophia parties within about 45 minutes of waiting. One did really well but we ran out of time, and the other we cleared on our second attempt. I hope more people start using it so it gets more popular.
