How fares this server after the immigration? Contemplating to transfer to another low pop. Want to know what's there before moving. Can't create an alt right now

What would you like to know? The server is pretty low pop, but definitely not dead. I've estimated about 500 - 1k people online usually around peak times and around 300 at off hours (estimated by adding up each area in player search; not 100% accurate since people move around and log in/out constantly but it gives a rough idea). The market boards are pretty expensive here, so that's something to keep in mind.

I notice you're on Mateus. If you've chosen Mateus for RP then Zalera will disappoint you as the RP scene is more or less dead. If you're hoping for housing, there is none left. Before they paused the timer, I watched the market like a hawk and saw several plots open up each week - they were bought up by a new buyer in less than a day, so it's possible to get it if you're diligent and have the gil but mostly only small houses open and occasionally a medium maybe. You might have some hope for Shirogane but I wouldn't hold my breath. I've spoken to a lot of people and many have plans to buy a house there and have gil in hand at the ready. Despite the generally low number of people on daily, I'm going to guess the numbers will be much higher directly after 4.1 goes live...

As for FCs, there are quite a few to choose from. There are some large ones with 100 - 400 members in them (although active members is a different story) and many smaller ones as well. People generally seem friendly here. You can often find people joking around in main cities like Kugane.

If you're looking for a static group, that may be a bit more difficult. But I haven't really looked for one myself since I just like to sit around and craft.

It's a nice quiet server. Personally, I like it... just wish there was some more RP going on here. Oh well. If you have any other questions though, feel free to ask.

I chose Mateus 'cause there was a FC with "no elitists/parsers" description, always knew it was the lowest pop server(didn't end up joining that FC anyway XD) and knew that it would have a close knit community, asshats were known and avoided by most of the people then the 4.0 gave way to an influx of more people, including more asshats (which are the loudest). I'm fed up with the animosity it created and FC don't giving a shit about it's members, it doesn't help I play in the mornings and that most of the active people are "seasonal".

For RP it annoys me when I'm sent tells for solicitation or the chat being flooded/spammed, other that that wouldn't mind reading a polished work.

For the MB it's the same here (I think) yet I've have managed somehow. I never gave thought to housing, "I roam the world looking for adventure not tied to a place" as a random RPer described me.

I'm not hardcore neither casual. I also craft (arr lvl) just for the story and log completion.

If that's the case, then I think you would enjoy Zalera. It's currently the smallest population server according to the new census (https://ffxivcensus.com/). I'm not an overly social person but everyone I've met here has been pretty chill. You often run into the same people over and over again and see the same people hanging out in certain spots.

I've never been messaged for any solicitation reasons, although there are quite a few bots who spam shout around the market boards in gridania/uldah/limsa, but I'm sure it's like that on every server that isn't locked out. You can make decent money on Zalera if you craft as there aren't too many here who do, so if you're interested in that kind of thing this is a good server.

I still can't really say if you'd find a good FC here to suit your tastes. Currently I'm in a very small one of less than 20 people, quite casual but we chat and get along well. I live in Japan, so my time zone is off from most people though so I don't get a ton of time socializing and finding a static is pretty hard for me. But I'm sure if you joined one of the bigger ones, you'd be able to find people to do content with just fine. Also keeping in mind, just like Mateus, we share a data center with Balmung and Gilgamesh, so you can easily queue up with duty finder.

From everything you've said though, I think Zalera is potentially a good choice for you.
