No in-depth coding however, and most of the REALLY cool stuff has to be coded a little bit at least.

A lot of people use Enjin, and that seems to work very well for a reasonable cost. I don't know what sort of widgets and perks the have, but I suspect they will have the basics - like a leve reset timer, shout box, forums, etc. I don't know if Enjin can do live character stats or anything like that. But if all you are looking for is a basic web front with some of the more common stuff, they are probably the place to go.

EDIT: I am curious... Does anyone else use SMF or SMF/TP or SMF/some other portal?
We actually run our site using SMF and Simpleportal currently. Though we are debating changing things up and moving to Joomla.

I like the theme. Not my personal preference for colors, but slick and simple is always nice. ^^ And Ajax chat mod ftw at that. I've been debating adding to our site.

Yeah our crew has always liked a darker scheme. Not my thing, but the linkshell speaks and I don't dispute the members =)

Ajax chat isn't perfect, but its a great hangout when people can't get in-game. We also recently started up a Newsletter that we run every few weeks, which is easily distributed through the portal.

Hehe. I offered to help the LS leader with the web page, and just started working. They couldn't keep up, so I inherited the task. They tell me what features they want, I get to decide how to do it. Hence our color scheme. ^^ It works out well enough though. Personally, I just think they like the fact that the can ask for stuff they think is "impossible" and then *poof* it just appears in a few minutes or a couple of days. I also have the advantage of a second coder who works for a hosting company - what I don't know or can't do, he can. Usually I write the basic functions and the like, and he integrates them with SMF.

Anyhow, as I've said before, anyone who wants our character/trader/treasury mod is welcome to it, and that includes you. We're almost done. Should work with SMF RC4 or later, and with any portal system.

    Hi guys.
I've been learning xhtml, css, javascript and php during this year, and I would like to launch my LS site up.
Is there any free hosting service? (Mostly because I haven't done any "real" job yet, and it would help me to improve my "skills" as a website admin. After that, I would upgrade the site, or whatever.)

I've seen that Enjin provides one free month, but I don't know how much customizable are these hosting sites.
Could I manually modify the source code to make it look exactly like I want it to? Or are there some kind of boundaries?
