Lets generalise everything on here.
Story, musics, bosses and their mechanics
I would say it really much more better than Midas and Gordias were.
But was really it enough?

Both A11 and A12 are extremely well designed fights, and I feel like SE really nailed it with these two, and these are just the normal versions. Creator as a whole was really fun and on-point. Its probably the first time in this entire expansion I can safely say that I'm looking forward to attempting these fights in Savage.
If nothing else, I'm glad Alexander went out with a bang after the rather rocky start with Gordias.
for one the fights are really entertaining this time, despite being gobs and mechs all over again. on the other hand though those gonna be a nightmare in DF for some time before ppl will get the hang of it, especially A11 and A12...
Edit: story was still meh

If he turns into Alexander Type-0 and does Divine Light, destroys Idylshire. Now we have to fight him in the Hinterlands, with 200+ players.
Well. I alwais like Alexander. But this time, A12 I think displaced T13 as my favourite Raid. So, I will say yes for me. I realy love the A12 desing.
A11 is also good, specially that Ark (FFIX summon) reference.
It was very good, but not enough to beat coil. If I still cared about raiding, I would be hyped to do Savage.
The main thing I can say is I am so so so so glad that we're finally done with the goblins. But at the end of the day my favorite thing is lore and I really didn't like this whole raid, at. all. For one we had to fight stupid goblins with their ridiculous half hearted attempt at comic relief, when the end game raid is supposed to be dangerous and serious. It is supposed to be the most threatening thing in the world, not just some stupid goblins who got in over their head for it all to blow up in their faces (so surprising). We didn't ever actually fight Alexander, hell we never really even saw Alexander do a damn thing. At least we got to see Bahamut in the cutscene wrecking shit, this one was just a static part of the world except for the one kind of cool moment in the middle of a12 Alexander never moves or does anything. I just hope they learn their lesson with this x-pacs raid.
As far as the fights, a11-12 are both really well done, with 12 being exceptional.
The story was terrible. The whole time, they just sat there watching gobbies do gobbie things, rather than just shooting them while they were rambling about doing gobbie things. Also, I really couldn't care less about Mide and her man, the cat got more character development, FFS. BUT. The actual raids themselves were extremely fun. There were some misses. A2N, for instance, and A5N was basically "One person do mechanics, everyone else stack." Which, granted, Savage was definitely an improvement over both of those. I still enjoyed most of the fights. I have fond memories of being sucked into the side room in A4, and loved the transformation in A8. And all of A9-A12 hit a very nice spot of "THIS IS AWESOME!". So, I'd give Alex a B-. Crappy story, but an overall enjoyable experience. Still can't touch Coil for a combination of story and awesome, though, and A12 did rather feel like a ripoff of T13, with the whole Prime thing, again.
