4* crafting rotation?

1022 or 1023 craftsmanship = 198 careful synthesis 2 with ingenuity 2

muscle memory -> piece by piece x 2 -> ingenuity 2 + careful synthesis 2 x 3 if you want to just barely make it. It sucks that I need 14 or 15 craftsmanship and I just need that one last meld on my chestpiece and I would reach it (with fully pentamelded v on the chestpiece, 2 control + 3 craftsmanship).

So 1022 is the breakpoint for 198 CSII under Ingenuity 2, or do you need 1023? Or are you hypothesizing?

If so it's not hard to hit with Baked Onion Soup

Although with full craftsmanship left/right side (only 7/7/6/6/6 chest) and mainhand/offhand with 4cp/6crafts you hit 1016, melding another Craftsmanship IV on one tool puts you at 1022, you'd either have to overmeld another craftsmanship IV to get up past 1023 or meld a craftsmanship V in the guaranteed slot of both tools for each toolset, or go for overmelded craftsmanship V on the chest (ouch)

EDIT: tested and it's 1022 (or lower maybe)

I haven't done MUCH, but I made a DK weapon from scratch yesterday, using Rath's method. I add one more PbP, run out the rest of my FS's. Depending on some luck, I get 11-12 HT's. Out of all the 4 star stuff I crafted to make the sword, 4 ingots, all NQ mats, I got 3 hq ingot, and the sword itself I HQ'd I don't think 4 star is all that hard honestly. *shrug*

1011/955/422 before food and have had no problems with Rath's rotation. I can afford 4 FS fails before I need an extra CS at the end.

How much progress does CSII grant without IngII? I remember in the level 50 4-star crafts, the benefits of IngII were terrible compared to the cost of the ability. Is that the case with level 60 4-stars, as well?

It doesn't do much frankly, in the rotation I linked on the previous page (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post3869795), the first unbuffed CSII hits for ~140 and the later Ing2 CSII hits for 190'ish. That said, if you happen to be at a craftsmanship breakpoint where CSII + Ing2 CSII will complete the craft, but CSII + CSII will not, then there is a small benefit as it saved you one action regardless of how little the increase was.

The main reason I use it in the finishing sequence is because it also affects the last 2 hasties, and the Bryegots (roughly speaking it adds just under 1000 quality).

A rule of thumb I've been using is that it's worth roughly 1 inner quiet stack, that is to say "Bryegots with N stacks of inner quiet" will hit for around the same as "Ing2 Bryegots with N-1 stacks of inner quiet".

I think it's around 141-142 ish, assuming 1009-ish craftsmanship.
