Why are we put at the back of the queue after withdraw?

When I'm queuing for something, it pops, and someone withdraws, in the past the rest of the group would stay together and just search for a new member, leading to another pop very quickly. And upon a second withdraw, another pop very quickly. Nowadays it seems like when someone withdraws the whole party falls apart and you are put all the way at the back of the queue again, so then it takes absolutely ages to get a second pop. This is especially bad when you're queuing for a 24-man, because the chances of someone withdrawing are very high. I mean, no wonder the queues for stuff like CT are "more than 30min" if it is this way for everyone. Is it, or am I just very unlucky?

I feel you, but sometimes after a withdraw I look and it's just me. 10 seconds later it's the same amount that it was before the withdraw. Other times yes, seems you are stuck with you and maybe another person forever. Not sure if people that were there before gave up or if possibly they had other que's going on and fell into those spots.

It doesn't put you back at the start (though at times the DF does break), usually it sets your progress to just you alone but after a few seconds it will return you to the same group. However, it changes if the person withdraws is in a group and pulls everyone in that group out of the party, then it'll take more time to refill and sometimes move people around to fill a previous group up, etc etc which will take longer.
