Red Mage is also a job that can use both magic and weaponry. Working aspects of Mystic Knight into the job makes sense.

So just like we have a job that's called Bard but is really more of a cross between Bard and Ranger, we might be getting a job that's called Red Mage but is actually a cross between Red Mage and Mystic Knight. Yeah, that could work.

(After all, whatever job we get, it'll be the FFXIV variant of the job, and will almost certainly not exactly match its implementation anywhere else.)
