Rune fencer from FFXI maybe.
Rune fencer from FFXI maybe.
Maybe the cutscene hinted at something else.
She looked arcanist class(with book) then she gives up the book to take up the sword and had no pet.
So maybe it is unlocked with arcanist and the job summons magical weapons instead of pets.

As much as I'd like them to revisit the class/job/job idea I doubt Arcanist is getting a third job.
So when can we do that? I want to update my Astrologian into, dunno Steven Hawking, and my Ninja into....damit, nothing is better than ninjas.
My question is, what was up with Urianger's pose? After he drew his tome. Am I looking too deeply into it, or am I right to think that the camera stopped on that shot for a reason?
As far as Ali's special sword, all I could think was "Limit Break" -- that energy sword some DD jobs use when the LB happens.
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
nah the limit break sword is completely different. It's way bigger and it glows yellowMy question is, what was up with Urianger's pose? After he drew his tome. Am I looking too deeply into it, or am I right to think that the camera stopped on that shot for a reason?

Isn't this the second instance of someone enchanting their sword with magic? I forget the guy's name, but the "Leader" of the Crystal Braves also did something magical to his sword when he was fighting Raubahn.
I don't think it's anything but red Mage. They already confirmed that during an event, and as for the glowing sword, I think it's the red Mage pajal sword they'll eventually have to add.
I am still going to say Red Mage. It does fall in lines with the FF5 job "Mystic Knight", but you have to remember that Red Mage is arguably the most demanded job in the game right now. Red Mage is also a job that can use both magic and weaponry. Working aspects of Mystic Knight into the job makes sense.
