Just finished remodeling my apartment in a Doman style!
Entrance area
Study nook
This is a look at the central area of the apartment.
Looking to the front door. It was difficult arranging everything so that the bathtub could fit and still have room for other things.
Looking to the back of the room. I wanted to use the Eorzean map table because it's so low, but the map was pretty busy with all the food on it so I placed an oriental round table in it.
Thanks for looking!
If anyone is able to tel me how to do the "Click to Show" so I can shorten this post a bit for people scrolling through, I would be happy to do so! I wasn't able to find an answer on how to do that.
Just a bedroom.

Here's my little slice of Eorzea living. I wanted something simple, cozy, practical and functional. This is what I came up with:
This is the great room. I went with an open floorplan that combines the kitchen, dining and living space. I've included a few angles.
The door leading out of the living space leads to my character's bedroom. I included a shot from near the entry and from the back.
Connected to the bedroom is the bathroom with my attempt at making a bootleg chamber pot/toilet he he. Again I included 2 shots, one from the entry and one from the back of the room.
I think I captured the essence of a real life apartment, if a small one. But how much space does one person need? About the only thing I'm missing a refrigerator.
I tried to set the lighting a certain way to make sure there weren't any odd dark spots or places where light shines through the partitions. I think it worked out well. The main room lighting is set to setting 2.
I would have decorated more but I hit that 50 item limit pretty quick and had to scale back my ideas to fit what I have. Anyone is welcome to visit, on Midgardsormr, Mist, Ward 4, apartment #33 also known as Nico's Apartment![]()

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
It's the spoiler tag, use [hb ][/hb ] (without the extra spaces within the brackets)^^
That about sums up literally everyone's experience with housing in FFXIV xD
I tend to go with "do room/floor 1 exactly how I want it to be, then remove the fun, tiny extras one by one while decorationg room/floor 2 until both are fairly good-looking"![]()
Yea thats what I had to do, prune a few niceties until I was exactly at 50. Still wish the limit was higher though he he. I'd like to get a few more little things like food on the table, some books on the desk etc. Those little details really fill out a home. It's the spoiler tag, use [hb ][/hb ] (without the extra spaces within the brackets)^^

I really like your setting, looks spacious and cozy like you wanted it it to meI often feel that partitions make rooms really tiny, but you manage to get something nice, think i'll take inspiration from you to design my own interior ^^
Thanks. I tried to avoid anything too cramped. About the only spot I wish had just a tiny bit more space is the bathroom. Failing that, a slightly smaller bathtub option would do. Still its roomy enough, especially in the main room, and feels like an actual livable space with room to walk past furniture without bumping into it. One of the things I think helped to make the best use of the space was angling the mahogany partition with the door to the bedroom from the great room. It gave the bedroom a bit of a width boost without cutting too much into the great room. The pillar I used to hide any seems also fit nicely and helped to kind of segment the kitchen area off from the rest of the great room without actually making it a separate room.
