Wondrous Tails - another mentor roulette?

Got the journal and was quiet disapointed to see it's all about duties like extremes, Alexander and the likes. I thought it was going to be more about different objectives more than dungeons and trials. This just looks like another mentor roulette really.
Why not have objectives like "uncover and get the rewards from a goatskin, peisteskin and dragonskin map", "hunt down 5 unique A ranks", or similar? Just an example.
I personally don't want to go back to extremes, I got my ponies thank you, done with them. You can unsync old world duties ok, but really, I expected something else >_>
I know I don't have to do the WT at all, but I was actually looking forward to it.

More objectives would be cool.
For what it's worth in mine I have enough regular objectives (dungeons, Palace of the Dead, 24 mans, Alex normal, and a Frontlines map) that I could get 9 done without touching extreme primals or Coil.
Plus there's that second chance thing one could use to trade a completed easy objective for one of the harder ones.

Mentor roulette fills mentors to pending queues, but this one creates pending queues for mentors...
IMO it is just another form of "weekly crystal tower123" for the sake of "make old contents alive" ^^;

Yet it is still needed though, all I hear from new people is been stuck in queue for X time. The rewards are decent enough to keep doing it and like the person above said unlock your easy ones instead of doing ex.
