Not sure why they are ending it, for new players to catch up? But for some veterans exclusive items were the only reason to stay subscribed all the time without breaks even when they were not playing, now 1 month per every patch will be enough. If anything, ending these loyalty bonuses will only lead to lost subs.

Because a VET reward of that caliber can get excessive after a while. I do hope they consider giving players "Mog station" tokens as a new "VET Reward" since it would just be easier to give players the option to choose what they want than to have it be a random item you may or may not like.

But it does eventually become a little silly when the vast majority of your playerbase will be waiting upwards of 3-4 years for rewards. I suspect the replacement Yoshi talked about will be a direct financial benefit of some sort; a voucher to buy something free off the Mog Station; a free month's sub. Stuff like that.

How is it preferential treatment? They still have to wait 3 years also.

Waited nearly 6 years for a 14 year vet reward passive cooldown in EQ, that lowered the cool downs of all other vet rewards by 25%. So I'd say not silly enough XD.

Honestly, the crying about waiting is a joke, lets just have those that want it now, be able to receive it from the mogstore at the cost of difference in account time to reward unlock time (i.e want a 4 year reward with only 1 year of sub time in total, then get set to pay the 3 year difference), and flag the account as having the item to avoid duplicates. Just so they can 'have it now' at the cost of paying the same amount going through the process normally.

They called veteran rewards for a reason, but this how I view the people that are happy about it.

But continuing further rewards wouldn't actually stop anyone from getting them. Everyone puts in the same amount of time to get the stuff.
