What happens if you switch GC? Does your Squadron carry over, with level, and ranks? Or is everything reset?

Allegedly they begin at 'squadron' rank 1 but its the same 8 people, same levels, same bonuses activated. So it would take 2 mission clears to get 1st lieutenant again per extra gc.

I actually switched from Limsa to Uldah the other day having already leveled my squadron to 50 in Limsa and completing the First Lieutenant promotion.

I can confirm they stay the same level when you switch GC and everything carries over, nothing was reset. I even had all of my pending recruits still available to me. I also had all 3 tiers of missions available to me right from the start, the squadron rank was maintained.

Repeating the 40 mission in Uldah got me the First Lieutenant promotion again--which was very easy considering they already met the stat requirements. Now I'm waiting for the 15-day lockout on switching GCs so I can get the Gridania promotion as well

You buy it from the Quartermaster, I assume.
