It's been confirmed on Reddit that the special rank up mission at level 40 will also grant you the GC promotion.

Indeed, that was the reference I used. However, as it was gained using 'dubious' methods, I was cautious to say it was definite.

This rank 40 promotion quest stats requirement is hard. I got the quest unlocked 2 days ago. I was hoping I'll meet the requirements to send my squadron today but I'm still 8 physical stats short as Lv 42. Will have to do more training tomorrow and another 18 hrs to send them.

This definitely has got to be First Lieutenant rank promo. All stats have to meet requirement not like other missions that only need 2/3 to be atleast equal qualifications for deploy. And theirs also no reward like a item for job change or a scroll for 100% recruit chance.

PS: Save all your recruit scrolls and job change item once your squadron is all maxed ranked. That way all your recruits are at highest level and you can boot the ugly ones of your squadron. lol XD

I would think so. First Lieutenant insignia design is the same. I wouldn't think you can unlock next rank tier since their are no reward previews under them. But I could be wrong.

Get your head start now. Who knows if next patch promo requires full squad of 8 to send them into raid deploys or whatever. You're gonna want your dream team set up with all the cool dudes and charisma trait offs.

That mission was a PITA to stat for.

There doesn't seem to be too many first lieutenants around yet though.

BTW, the missions that open up after beating that promotion mission are MUCH harder to stat for. I'm leveling up a bit before I try those out.

I received "The mission is bound to succeed" last night and sent my squadron to do it.

By this afternoon I will have completed it and should get the promotion!

I got there with Adder today. The only reason I met minimum stats is because one of my recruits gained some +30% stat affinity bonus. Their natural stats were under. Now I have the rank 3 page of missions unlocked which are all Lv40 and I don't meet stats for, but I sent them on one with an "equal chance" gamble, might get lucky and get good exp.
