Version check errors ps4 PS3 and pc

This error happened to me a lot, and I mean like every single patch past 3.0. It even showed up today before patch, but fixed itself after one try.

We still have no idea what is the prime suspect for this to happen and it might have multiple causes. However, those on PS3 and PS4 should not have to fiddle with program files of a game since its pretty hard to do as it is and for many of us reinstalling the whole thing is completely out of the question. Those on PC have the freedom to see what might be wrong and how to fix it.

My suggestion for those on PS3/PS4: Check the connection type your PlayStation has to the internet. If it is type 3, or sometimes even 2, then the server connection will not be good enough and sometimes even flat out rejects a good connection because it things its "not secure" or something. No good connection to the FFXIV servers = the error.

As for how to change the connection type, I am afraid that you will have to google it yourself as it can be a tad tricky.
