That's not how any of the houses are set-up as well. There are craft-able partitions for you to be able to make any kind of division of space you'd like.

It was clearer in Japanese. There they're called mansions, which is the Japanese term for a small one-room apartment. (It's a loan word from English of course, but based off an advertising use of the word discussing efficiency apartments as being "one room mansions".)
