I had this error this morning and wound up just going to bed rather than uninstalling. Loaded up this morning to check if I was still getting the error and it booted right into patch DL. If you haven't uninstalled by now you should be fine to try again now that patch as somewhat settled.

Update, patch loaded up and finished fine after my last message. I still think its random but this needs to be fixed. I'm sure I lost my shot for an apartment thanks to this :/

I saw this a minutes ago and I just get surprised that actually works
"lol i just pulled out ethernet cable out from ps4 and used wifi and then i clicked on ffxiv and it installed 3.41itself! XD and now the game is working xD"
