If it can help, after i don't know how many 1-10 runs, i came to the conclusion that accursed hoards spawning points are the same as traps and occasionally both at the same time.

Here's a proof with my last run alone. ( i had many more this way but i didn't record them ):

If you are farming hoards and do not have intuiton up, i recommend you do not use promanders of safety, and try looking for traps once a room is secure, it's even easier if you do have a promander of sight up. If you memorize traps spawns and are lucky you will eventually find a chest.

People are doing it yes. I've also found out to level your weapons you don't need to progress past 1-10. Since the silver chests is RNG on whether or not it upgrades, just keep running 1-10 and you will eventually get max weapons.
I think PoTD is more then broken in that aspect. They at least need to increase the chance of upgrade the deeper you go, but having it failing on a difficult floor... Just cheap PoTD out.

Yup i got my last 3 upgrades just running 1-10 over and over aswell.
