That's so sad, ha!
Unukalhai is so cute this patch. Well, he's always adorable, but he's extra adorable when
Trying to keep you pure by taking the dirtier of deeds upon himself.

MSQ
I knew the eyes weren't gone when WE JUST THREW THEM OVER THE BRIDGE. Next time I want to stab the eyes in half please.

MSQ Stuffs below:
So did anyone notice the real griffin was much slimmer than your average highlander? He also seemed to have an unique standing animation unlike garleans (excluding cid) who uses the elezen skeleton. Also nice of Gallien to show up. though im a bit bummed out we couldnt have a "ayyy i remember you, buddy. I never forgot" moment.

MSQ Thoughts and some speculation
I thought the Void was a distinct thing, away from the main story - a link, however tangentially, to other FF worlds? Maybe I misunderstood.
I hope there's a chance to go to Cartenau for those of us who shun PVP. Nice to see Nero again, but I fear his new leaf turned over during Crystal Tower will get ignored. And, it's been years since I did that part of the MSQ; who was the False Griffon in Quarrymill? I've got an alt heading to that part of the story, but they're some hours away from it yet.
On Minfilia... Some kind of resolution with her was ok, if only for Thancred's sake. I'd be happiest of all, however, if she was essentially written out of the story from now on. They didn't go for it with Nanamo, and I'd like to see some courage in the writing.
Hype for the (hopefully) Red Mage tease with Alisae. I liked her little arc with Gu Ba. I hope we see some way out of the whole "no way back from being tempered" business. It allows us a potential way to undermine the Ascians by removing half the threat. If someone can be cured from that state, part of the fear that leads to the tribes ganging together to summon for protection might ebb away. It would scupper the self-fulfilling cycle of summoning to weaken Hydaelyn. Also, was the "sorrow-Titan" a version of how Koji talked about summons being able to differ depending on the idea used to summon them? If so, would have been nice to see a slightly different battle.
I also thought the English VA was very good. It's been good all the way through Heavensward, but this was the best so far. The Warrior of Darkness - you could feel like his little flashes of anger really came from weariness and frustration. Alisae was really good and so was Yda. I hope that's going to be her voice going into 4.0. I also hated the squeaky lalafell type in 2.0, so I'm glad that's gone out the window.
Generally, all the VA take the lines at pace, which takes away some of the awkwardness of long lines of dialogue, and that's what I like about it.

on the Griffon
is the false one this guy: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Faramund ? also, could the real one be Gaius? we never saw him actually die... kind of a twist I know, but he got mentioned in the convo between him and Elidibus like they wanted us to remember him after so long

Sophia's influence
Those orange-gold corrupted crystals that formed from Bahamut's disintegration seem very similar to the effects on Sophia's Demiurges. It seems Bahamut really was empowered by the Warring Triad. That also suggested those golden crystals are an extreme manifestation of Equilibrium.

A few more points now that I've recovered somewhat
MSQ
I actually, like, just got the play on words in Xelphatol. We're in the shadow of the First Mountain racing against literal Shadows of the First World/Shard. Didn't even get the double meaning, despite arguing against expecting exposition based on quest title; though I was quick to chastise myself for discounting exposition after it totally happened anyways.
Triad + MSQ
So, like, if Unukalhai was purposefully ignored in the Solar, it really makes me think he's in for some terrible fate. Whether or not it's his choice is another matter, though "heroic sacrifices" are getting banal.
Sophia's plan confuses the Meracydia timeline for me. She was captured before Bahamut, as were all the Triad, since they were house in proto-Dalamuds, right? Yet she had intended to use Bahamut to smite the Ascians? I always assumed the capturing of Bahamut was Allag's ultimate victory in Meracydia. Did she intend to raze Allag with the wyrm Bahamut or the Primal? Augh, I can't log in to rewatch cutscenes and I'm left in the lurch

Not necessarily. Bahamut could have also been housed in a proto Dalamud before the final Dalamud design was finalized, and then simply been transferred or had his pall reoutfitted into the final version.
