Thread: Revelations from Patch 3.4

The Warring Triad:

Sophia's a very interesting fight. I love that she has voice acting - it makes her more imposing. The revelation about Regula is very interesting - his loyalty to the Emperor and his capabilities are both genuine and there's those in Garlemald who seek to disrupt his efforts. If Regula does pull a 'Kefka' I have a feeling it won't be done willingly.

MSQ's:

I hope that the Warriors of Darkness aren't gone for good. I hope they show up again, especially since they made for sympathetic antagonists. As I - and others - predicted the Ala Mhigans are once again doing silly, dubious things in the name of their homeland. Not only are they once again endangering those who aren't Ala Mhigan but...they're even endangering those who are Ala Mhigan. Nero showing up at the end is interesting. Is he at Cartenau? If he the new 'big bad' in control of Ala Mhigo? One thing's for certain - we may very well end up siding with the sympathetic elements of Garlemald if the Ala Mhigan Resistance starts killing Garleans indiscriminately. It seems the theory I and others presented about Elidibus manipulating a fresh conflict with Garlemald are also correct, though it's interesting that he's throwing his support behind the Ala Mhigans.

Finally get that date dinner with Aymeric. Went in my armor, so classy am I.

Expected fight with Titan further showing that a primal's psyche is colored by the wishes and intentions of the summoner...

Complex... or not so complex... stuff with the WoDs. Our world is the Source, so we don't need to worry about a Flood of Light or Darkness. Supposedly. Minfilia gone indefinitely, again. Still possible in other worlds, so should we worry about more extradimensional antagonism?

Urianger didn't betray us! I was almost worried for a second there. Almost.

Ala Mhigan Resistance, esp. the Masks, stepping up their activities. As expected, we're almost certainly bound for Gyr Abania.

GOD DAMN IT with the Eyes! And GOD DAMN IT NERO, I thought you were turning over a new leaf! The "Nidhogg's Eyes are going to be used as batteries for Omega" theory now has some genuine evidence... well, all we need is a link between the two. The Griffin's identity remains a mystery, but barring a new character I'm still betting on Ilberd.

Sophia / Triad

Not much development here. Sophia's followers wake up thanks to Garlean meddling (evidently), so you wake her up and put her down.

Unukalhai has good security clearance on Azys Lla. Enough to terminate Sophia's dormant thralls. Interesting...

Regula is unique among legates in that he rose through merit, not political standing, huh? Interesting...

Not that there wasn't already strong possibility, but

There's absolutely no question that 4.0 will involve Ala Mhigo....AND the activation of Omega. With the Dragonsong War and Alexander complete, I now am ready to look forward to the next expansion.

I only now wonder what all this means of the various Voidsent. I still stand by my theory that Unukalhai's world is the origin of Diabolos, Ferdiad, Forgall, etc.
