I think it's just the download that's up - it won't be live for another two hours. (Unless that's what you were referring to. I'm really tired and I can't think straight )

this happen many times before an is always the same solution:
PC
step 1-run launcher as administrator
step 2-go back to sleep

PS4
Step 1-go to Library
step2-locate FFXIV launcher Icon
step3-go back to sleep

Working now, I just waited 10 mins. :3

Its downloading for me. I logged in, installed the first tiny patch then got the error, I pressed ok and it completed that download.
I restarted the client, logged in again and now its processing the long download that actually shows the progress.

i'm getting this error too and there is no way in hell im going to delete the game to reinstall it and miss the apartments

With each ward and every additional subdivision having a full apartment complex with 90 units, plus Grand Company rank requirements to get one, I don't think you have to worry about them being taken up so fast.
My download is done, wasn't so bad.

Logged in, downloaded patch no problem. Now to wait for the servers to come back and then... the queues... dear God the queues...

So, the patch is not up.

any time you see the Error popup when there is an update going on like this, it a good way of finding out if the patch update is about to start.. been like this for 3 years. just wait 5-10min and it will be up
