where as i always prepare for a backfire but generally i gain some isk. where as this is i gain none. and out that profit. not a single gil to be earned. because of the fact that you cannot do anything with it. they should give players an option to buy back what they spent or change the way they do that in the future.

It's a seasonal item and you've seen the trend of what happens to seasonal items they inevitably end up on the mogstore. This is on you not them.

Why are you being bombarded ?
You are doing something bad because you are literally selling items that are cheap/ and available to every other players (from NPC) for a higher price.

In another way around, nobody is forcing a player to buy an item from the market board where it can be bought from NPC at lower price.

Here comes the Demand and supply.

If an item was selling at 500gils at NPC, and you flip it at 1000gils with a profit of 500gils ( set aside tax etc ), 10x500= 5000gils, 99stacksx500= 50,000gils.

The questions being , do this extra gils pay for the item worth the time you spent searching ?
How much time you spent searching for the location of the NPC, opening the browsers, ffxiv website, reading patch...etc

    Another example:
A medical professional earn 1k per hour, Money to pay for his car maintenance is 1k and he only needs to wait for an hour .
If he chooses to fix his car on his own (which he knows nothing bout mechanic stuffs) it would take more than 4-5hours, to saved up the 1k.

    Fixing car 4 hours, + working 1 hour = total 5 hours, Effective money 1k + 1k = 2k
    Fixing car (service centre) 1 hour + work for 4 hours = total 5 hours, effective money -1k + 4k = 3k

    Same goes to crafting ,etc....

I'm in a neutral position, there is no right or wrong.

It ok you can continue to buy low level mats off NPCs and resell them on MB if you want to keep making gil that way.

I don't understand, my bardings are still up on the MB and listable. Does this mean you just can't sell them to a vendor?

Yeah, it looks like the panic was over nothing; 'unsellable' means you can't vendor them, but they can still be traded or put on the MB (Thank goodness).

Hey, I dunno who buys them, but I make a pretty steady income doing just that. if people are too lazy to run to the vendor themselves or google where to get the mat, then they can pay a premium for them. The free market is a beautiful thing.

Did they remove the vendor buyback price too? You should be able to get something back for them, even if it's only 1 gil.
