Force you to keep them as and use the goofy toy items they were always meant to be?
that doesnt answer the question as to why. not let other players who purchase alot of them turn around and sell it back to players who dont want to keep many?
Well, your own fault for ripping off other players don't you think? Instead of going the easy way, work for your money, you remind me of a loan shark.
is that not working for your money? wouldn't you say working for your money is ripping people off then. because someone doesnt want to take the time to make it themselves, or gather the material. your entitled to say how much your "hard work" is entitled to? this is just an example of your "work for it" if you dont see it that way you are not helping the cause.
No, buying 20 stacks of items from an NPC that is accessible to everyone while it is there is not working for your money. Or do you count the labour of carrying them? If so, I feel sorry for you, your poor inventory must be suffering.is that not working for your money? wouldn't you say working for your money is ripping people off then. because someone doesnt want to take the time to make it themselves, or gather the material. your entitled to say how much your "hard work" is entitled to? this is just an example of your "work for it" if you dont see it that way you are not helping the cause.
If you craft an item, you produce something that others are unable to make or purchase otherwise. If you don't see the difference here, I am not sure if it is worth answering you again (and I won't).
Selling items worth 200 gil for 20k, an item that can be purchased easily by everyone, is not working for your money, sorry.
To be fair, all other posts aside here, you had a handful of days in which you knew it was coming. That change was listed in the prelim notes. From an investment standpoint, you should have sold before the market literally disappeared. Investments aren't always stable, and they did give you a chance.
Maybe they want to sell the special fireworks on the mog station.
Uhm...that's exactly what you do if you sell event items, though - to sell something others are (now) unable to make or purchase otherwise. That's exactly what allows you these crazy profit margins, both for crafting items and for other stuff. Have you checked the emperor's new market? It's common that these go for several thousand despite costing 60 fucking gil on the vendor. And that's on Balmung, the land of undercutting as some call it.
There is only one difference - you have to grind crafting first before you can screw people over. Screwing people over with event items is an option for everyone. Morally, though, the difference is really insignificant and becomes nil once your crafting investment is amortized through profits. At that point, both are doing the exact same thing.
