Just a General Letter About Events

I wasn't sure where to put this but since the event relied on FATEs I figured here is as good as anywhere else.

I didn't really care for Yo-kai Watch coming into this event. The weapons didn't look appealing to me and the minions I could take or leave. But the fact that the mount takes a staggering 700+ FATEs to grind enough medals for is ridiculous. I don't know who was behind it, but I can say I am incredibly against it.

I realize my voice is small in this matter and that many may not care, but I wanted to voice my opinion on the fact that I don't think events should be like this. They should be fun, not a mindless grind for a prize. I hope in the future our events are not like this, that we have interesting content and not hopeless feeling grinds.

Just getting it out there. I hope the numbers on how many people completed it shows how little we like things like this. I know a few people who did complete it because they felt compelled to, but they didn't enjoy it a bit.

Yeah I heard. I still wanted to voice my complaint against this kind of event. Even if they're a friend of the dev, they should have better judgement in declining this sort of request.

I actually thought yokai was fine, and in the grand scheme of things, it didn't take very long. Granted, I wouldn't want to do an event like that ever again, but it was a good excuse to level the rest of my jobs to 50. Also, it's a crossover event that lasts more than 30mins, which is nice.

And I mean, I'm glad you were ok with it, I'm just putting out my voice there to say I didn't enjoy it. I liked that it lasted a long time, but I didn't like how many FATEs it took to get 100% completion.

I enjoyed it, thank you Yoshi for making this event. It was very cute and kept me busy during queues ^_^

the problem with this event was that there was a normal reward for all players - all the minions, the first mount and one or two weapons - and an extra reward for the hardcore grinders - all weapons and the second mount.

like normal and savage raid tier, normal and extreme primals.

not everything is meant for everybody. but of course this is a limited time event, so everyone wants the extra reward.

i really hate fates. but i liked the event, because of the grind.

I sent feedback in game basically saying the same thing. Most events show the love that the developers have for the players. In this case, they put their partner ahead of the players and showed us nothing but hatred. And it has made many people even hate the mention of Yo-kai Watch, rather than helping promote it.

Eventually I got tired of the fate grind as well. But I enjoyed that event for a few reasons. Some already stated.
I was given a reason to play some jobs I usually do not and get some xp.
It seemed more casual with it lasting so long and not being pinned down to a seasonal event.
I met more random people than usual, making new friends and just basic chatting it up while waiting for fates. It was an enjoyable option to kill some time while waiting for roulettes, FC events, etc.

I am not sure I would want to throw myself in into another 700+fates for some silly minions and some glam weapons any time soon. Maybe in another 6 months I would be ok with another event. I am happy with my go-go ghost ride though.
