Undeletable duplicate items

I received two sets of Rank 2 Veteran Rewards (Black Chocobo Chick minion + Cascadier Uniform voucher). I claimed one set and the other is still on my inventory taking up space, unable to be deleted (the discard button in grayed out in both items). Thus I have one minion as an item on my inventory + black summer trunks from the vouchers, both taking up 2 slots in my inventory that I sort of need now that I started levelling crafters. I got an autoreply from the ingame support desk after trying to get in contact with a GM to delete the items and it said to report here. Has anyone had similar experiences with undeletable duplicate items? I'd like some assistance please.

You're not alone. I have duplicates of a Veteran reward (Minion of Light and the Barding that came with it) and they've been stuck on a retainer for 1+ year now. Reported as a bug because GM staff apparently can't remove it from us; still nothing major patch wise to deal with undesireable items. Can't even use them since we "already have it".

While I dont have this issue myself, issues like this, that arent being reported in mass amounts, will just get ignored.
I still cant view part of the MSQ, due to an error, and it hasnt been fixed since 2.0
Highlanders right shoulder pads are still messed up since 2.0 (tilted/clip through everything)
A friend of mine hasnt been able to play since 2.0 due to his account having a glitch.
Another friend of mine has to pay $30 to play, as her account is oddly requiring 2 service accounts to be paid for, in order to log into the game.(Some glitch that occurred during the transition from 1.0 to 2.0)
So on, and so forth.
