Apartments, Reception Area, and the Rooms - external access

So I've been looking through the patch notes for housing and under the maps, it shows the apartment locations in orange. Does this mean unless you have an apartment you won't be able to enter the reception area? Does this mean that if you want to visit a friend's apartment, you can't? Or is it just orange as a placeholder and it will be able to be accessed?

Thing is, I wanted an apartment so people could come visit my little abode. Bring friends round, stuff like that (since I like socialising and spending time with people and in the downtime, I'd take them round to my apartment, bit like IRL where you bring a friend round to your place), but if this isn't possible, it does make apartments a lot less interesting to me.

I don't see why we would be barred from the reception area. As for visiting other apartments... Nobody will know until the patch goes live.

I assume it's gonna be like FC houses, open to all and you can set your apartment locked if you don't want visitor's but like saberchic said, we'll know it for sure tomorrow

Since everything about apartments so far is a straight 1:1 copy of FC rooms, I'm about 99.9% sure everyone will be able to enter rooms that are set to "open" instead of private.

Also, already confirmed that everyone can enter the reception area since the lodestone explained how you BUY an apartment: by entering the lobby and talking with the housing NPC in there to buy the room

If it's like an fc house then you'll have an option to either go to your apartment if you have one or go to a specific apartment which will then provide a list of all apartments but differentiates between open & closed ones. As Atoli said, anyone can enter the lobby as that's where you purchase one.
