I actually had an idea for a new Paladin ability that I would like to share, but before I do I would like to say that I think there is room for SE to get more creative with abilities without going too over the top.

It would be called Sacred Ground. It would place a small radium AoE field around the Paladin, much like Doton for Ninja, and it would have two effects. The first is that party members will receive a small potency regen effect while within the field, building upon the "White Mage" part of Paladin. The second effect applies to enemies. Any enemies standing within the field that are hit by Flash will receive damage, thus introducing a creative way for Paladin's AoE enmity generator to inflict damage without putting damage on the ability itself. And due to the regen effect provided by Sacred Ground it would still have value even in situations where AoE damage isn't necessary. The "dumbed down" version would be for it to regen allies and deal DoT to enemies, but I would prefer to have it interactive with Flash as that can allow for controlled AoE damage spikes.
