I hope the PotD accursed hoard is at least decent. It's a nice addition either way.

I always welcome new Diadem stuff.

Cheap soil without bonuses is awesome.

    Bunch of nice QoL.

    Color me pleasantly surprised.

I'd be willing to bet large amounts of gil that it's crafted.

So many? it's only two differences, one of which is completely trivial (about the clock type).

The only difference that matters is that PS3 only supports the 4 slot WXHB and not the 8 slot one. Though that could be seen as a fairly significant one to some players, I still wouldn't describe a single meaningful difference as "many".

[I'm not including in the count the one where all platforms get the same info, but just formatted slightly different for PS3 (the quest tracker/DF piece). You could just as easily call that a feature for the PS3 that the PS4 and PC lack.]

EDIT: ok, missed one. There's also an XHB transparency option that the PS3 doesn't get. So I guess it's three total differences, two of which are completely trivial.

I'm just thankful that thanks to Yoshi-P's team having magicians they've somehow managed to get this game running on as ancient and different of hardware as the PS3 is, for those folks still stuck on that version.

I have a question about the Wonderous Tails. The way the patch notes worded it...

You will receive a base reward for obtaining nine seals, and additional rewards for completing rows horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Implies that we will be able to get more than one reward. The question is if this is actually the case, (being able to pick 1 reward per tier) or if we are forced to pick only one per week

( I am aware that the screenshots show all but the 1 line rewards being slightly greyed out, though that might be due to an insufficient amount of seals)

The wording sounds like all to me.

Wow, just got through the whole thing, and it has quite an impressive array of good QoL features. Very pleased with that.
(Was going to list some of my favorites, but there's so many...)

Huh? QoL means changes that make things easier to manage but don't essentially change how the game is played. Like the change to allow you to buy 99 ventures at once instead of clicking over and over for sets of 5.

The only things that'd be considered QoL in the notes would be that moogle quest having its npcs moved, the door cutscene in aquapolis being changed, tooltip showing full name of long orchestrion songs, the materia melder for estates, that compact version of the lv 6 aetherial wheel, and using food/meds while mounted. Technically not even that last one. And none of these are that significant. But then that's what QoL generally means. The only big example of QoL I can think of is when they added item sorting back in 2.1, was pretty crazy it wasn't there in 2.0.

Basically if something makes you more likely to complete things it's not considered QoL; they're actual balance changes to the game.

edit: just noticed this one change:

    * Names cannot consist of two or more punctuation marks used in succession.
So what about names that currently have this? I recently renamed one alt's retainers I'l'l'l'l'l, I''l''l''l''l, I'''l'''l'''l'''l and I''''l''''l''''l as a way to keep track of which was which (1st thru 4th based on how many apostrophes in a row). So will I be made to rename these?

Removal of furniture destruction on most primal furniture. Summoning bells in Gold Saucer.

And a plethora of display changes, most important of all:

    • certain furnishings will no longer be destroyed when removed
    • Potting Soil
    • materia melder permit for estates
    • register to play Lord of Verminion via the Duty Finder
    • purchase up to three Jumbo Cactpot tickets per week
    • summoning bells in the Gold Saucer
    • Certain foods and medicines can be used while riding a mount.
    • The Doze emote can now be used to sleep on furniture in certain locations
    • The Pray emote can now be used when sitting or riding

    • Players can now use subcommands when targeting the reward received from retainer ventures.
    • Players can now access a Camera Settings interface when using group pose and the idling camera.
    • for idling camera, Players can now adjust frame composition.
    • Camera Lighting option for group pose
    • Players can now pause character motions while using group pose.
    • Players can now temporarily hide the display of UI elements during cutscenes.
    • The following effects will no longer display when toggling off the display of UI elements: Effects indicating a border between zones, Effects indicating a plot of land has yet to be purchased
    • The Gardening category has been added to the marketboard under Housing.
    • The indicator for north on the minimap has been adjusted.
    • A countdown function has been added.
    • Players can no longer initiate a trade with players casting a spell.
    • The online status "Role-playing" has been added.
    • The order in which gear and accessories are displayed in the Armoury Chest, the character and retainer Attributes windows, and the marketboard has been adjusted to match NPC shop listings.
    • The W cross hotbar has been added.
    • Emotes will now appear grayed out on the hotbar when they are inaccessible.
    • The actions listed in the Main Commands tab have been divided into subcategories.
    • Action slots of the Additional tab will now display the required level to unlock them.
    • Players can now temporarily toggle between the display of NQ and HQ values for items.
    • Players can now temporarily hide the display of item help text.
    • A sound effect will now play when party members join or leave a party in open world areas.
    • The "Camera Speed (Analog Stick)" and "Camera Speed (Keyboard)" settings under the General tab of Control Settings in the Character Configuration interface have been adjusted.
    • Players can now freely choose any combination of Eorzea time, local time, and server time to be displayed at the same time.
    • A tooltip will now be displayed when selecting status effects in the log window.
    • Players can now report RMT messages via a menu in the log window.
    • XHB transparency when not in use
    • The Character Configuration and System Configuration interfaces will now remember the most recently viewed tab until the game client is closed.
    • When filing a report or suggestion via the Support Desk interface, the Tab key can now be used to move the insertion point to the next entry field.
    • A search function has been added to the Active Help window.
    • DualShock®4 controllers are now supported on the Windows version.
    • The Character Selection screen will now display your remaining days of play time.

Then possibly a few more (for example, it mentioned "The display of enmity in the party list has been adjusted", but since it didn't say how it's been adjusted, I didn't include it. That might be a QoL change if they made it clearer.)
