Purchasing an Apartment

Each apartment building can house up to 90 tenants, with each room costing 500,000 gil. Players are allowed one apartment per character. Furthermore, it is possible to own both an estate and an apartment.

.....Really? 500,000 Gil? And I'm betting there is not enough of these apartments for every player in the game? Just why 500,000?

At the end of the day, its a game, everyone has the right to enjoy every aspect of the game, why should anyone be left out? Not exactly fair play now is it? But of course, who is gonna care about fairness now a days, seems that the world has lost sight of that.

So if any of you wants to chastise me for thinking of the equal enjoyment of everyone, go right ahead, your only proving me right and doing nothing but making yourselves look bad.

There will be more than enough apartments to go around. Each apartment can hold up to 500 rooms even though they are starting with 90.

It's 500,000 gil that you don't need to worry about getting back... because unless you really don't want an apartment, there's no way to lose it besides consciously clicking the "Demolish/Vacate my apartment"...

Also, it's fair because everyone gets the same price... some people...

Are you saying that not everyone has 500,000 gil?

It's very easy to get 500,000 gil just by doing roulettes every day. If you want something, you have to work for it.
That's just how things work. The same is true for gear.

Somewhere, I am sure there is an economy lead to prevent runaway gil inflation. Look at the fluctuating taxes for the different city market boards, market board fees, or even the gil to repair weapons that can wear down at any rate they want. I am sure that this is another gil sink to that end. 90x500,000x24=1,080,000,000 gil Not an astronomical sum by any means but when combined with other factors it can be significant. 500,000gil could be the middle ground that was sustainable for all the servers.

I did read the patch notes, at least what I was reading on the launcher and it says that each apartment can hold like LaylaTsarra above you said 500 units, but how many people play the game, hmm? And there are what, three zones or whatever that each have an apartment? I must point out, that I know for a fact that Estate land is limited in space, and there was no mentioning of there being enough Apartment space for EVERYONE to have their own apartment.

Nothing saying there is enough for any and all players.

Dont have any V Materia to sell, probably because I am more concerned with playing the game, then treating it like a second job, if you want my honest answer. Ive seen what it takes to make stuff in the game, cannot say that doing any of it is all that appealing.
