What you Just Said is actually the same if you think about it, Just slightly less cosmetic unless you dont like the raider gear, plus higher ilvl.

maybe , with the only difference that i play the game coz i like it , also to play with friends and keep contanct to em :P
not just for my personall character progress ilvl :P
also i craft to , so have enough stuff to do and gathering :P
You didn't get my point so I'll try be a bit better at it.
Even when you have the gear from the beginning, its not relevant, because it's really only needed for savage. There is no growth or progression there at all. There is no personal progress with iLvl either. There is no progress when you can't hit a better level or anything like that, after let's said savage raid. What does progress mean? You move forward a goal or want to pass that goal on a higher goal.
1 year gear with different stats and different ways to gear up or progress character/growth is more than the current iLvl system offers. Same can be said with crafting, you have a gap and need to follow it, the gap is pretty much saying: it stops here and you cannot grow your character anymore.
To add a question, do you think you need the iLvl gear to do dungeons? Crafter gear is different because you need a certain stat to hit the thing.
Now my second question is, what does the daily game life look for you in the game?

no u dont need MAX ilvl to do a dungeon , but it will make ur life easier. (specially when ur tank trying to hold aggro vs higher ilvl DD :P )
edit coz of char limit :P :
and for ur 2nd question : i log in then i look whos on and if anyone wants to do something , if not i look what my char still needs as in lvling remaining classes , or gearing up other classes , gathering / crafting :P (or sometimes pony farm , but i dont like raiding without friends :P it is more fun for me to do content with at least 1 person i know :P )
it really depends on my mood tho , sometimes im just tired from rl , so i do nothing sometimes , just relaxing XD
i just dont think like some people here on the forums : oh my ilvl is gona be obsolete why play at all? like i sayed above i play to relax and have fun in the game with friends being it raid or dungeon or just to hang out ^^ (i like the atmosphere and the music in the game , and the heroic feeling when doing stuff :P ) (my pld is ilvl239 atm) so yes i like to max stuff out to ^^ only thing that really bores me in the game is when no one is on that i know , and i have to do stuff alone :P
Oh yeah, its a lot more fun when you play with your friends, I agree so much here. Especially when you are on voice chat too!i just dont think like some people here on the forums : oh my ilvl is gona be obsolete why play at all? like i sayed above i play to relax and have fun in the game with friends being it raid or dungeon or just to hang out ^^ (i like the atmosphere and the music in the game , and the heroic feeling when doing stuff :P ) (my pld is ilvl239 atm) so yes i like to max stuff out to ^^ only thing that really bores me in the game is when no one is on that i know , and i have to do stuff alone :P
However, the whole thing about people wanting more depth in character as in progression/growth it's because they DO like the game, but they also think and we all know this is an MMO where character depth is one of the biggest things in the game. Are you one of the glamour people? You mentioned you talk to your friends or craft etc and you only raid with friends. Let's say there was not depth in gathering or crafting in this game, because this game allows that, however if it wasn't what would you do then? I might be wrong but you would mind end up asking for more from it, because you enjoy it and it's obvious. So to me to another person (which is you) try to be understandable in other peoples situation then say they all cry. I've seen people cry more about glamour than anything, should I say that 90% of the playerbase are just babies? Of course not, it doesn't work like that. Like i mentioned earlier, you can NEVER please everyone in any offline or online games, especially not in a MMO.
I put myself in sight to understand from players like you, which I don't wanna call casual but rather who wanna relax and take their time which you do want to do. However, many who do play MMO do want to have more depth in character. Crafting gives a bit depth to the character, compare to other games, like gathering in this game. But it's limited but crafting is amazing in this game and also have longer life compare to iLvl on the battle gear from savage, which many do complain about and I completely understand. I know you would be a bit sad if there wasnt a good depth in crafting for example, because I can tell you enjoy it. But people who do play this game for raiding or harder content or even the fact want to grow their character is limited and forced to leave. It shouldnt feel like that in a MMO at all. Or is the fact people gotten lazy and just want everything handed? I don't know.

Wow. You must be a real pleasure to play with, I guess. Different people enjoy different things. So what if people enjoy actually playing the game? All efforts towards gaming mean nothing unless you have a monetized YouTube account, yet people still play cause it's fun.

Actually I'm sure they play for the community, not the game, as do I. I log in to see my friends and FC since they're always talking and conversing with eachother and share laughs each day when we log on. The forums is where it gets serious, because just ignoring how bad things are is disrespecting yourself knowing you paid for this more than just to have a better social experience I could find on Facebook. PvP and Hunts need work but those are what I do on my spare time as they're often pretty different experiences. I only speak for myself btw, I've yet to hear any different reasons why people play this game from what I already heard from every other FF fan.Wow. You must be a real pleasure to play with, I guess. I'd like to see the entire roulette df tab to be removed. Players that get dropped into a dungeon they hate or tired of doing is not a real good strategy for player retention. They'll start the bad habit of doing the bare minimum roulette per day and log off anyway. And then sooner or later not log on at all.
Instead, increase the baseline tome rewards per dungeon, remove stupid penalties/caps/weekly lockouts, and let players gear up their alts faster.

And in doing so guarantee players grind out the latest tomestone within a week and never do those dungeons again. To cite myself the example. I can and would spam whatever dungeon netted me the highest Scripture tomes, get my gear and never do any of them again except on the occasional whim. Or I'll farm The Creator Normal day one, get everything there and also never touch it again. Weekly caps exist to ensure people still do content because they wouldn't otherwise.I'd like to see the entire roulette df tab to be removed. I'd love a gear system like Monster Hunter, I felt it was a nice balance between horizontal and vertical progression.
You could take the horizontal path and get mutliple armors to make specific fights easier, or you could go vertical, and stick with one armor set for everything and just keep upgrading that.
