Ok I know I am not the only one out there, but I would like to see more house open up. I would like to have one of my own. I'm not expecting them to be like Star Wars, there you can have 4 houses, and have different houses or locations but I would like to at least have my own house.

Inactive house demolition starts again from Tuesday so keep checking the wards, someone will get them, it could be you!

This is 100% correct. But it also doesn't mean that people who buy multiples aren't exacerbating the problem.
But yeah, it's not like the housing crisis is news or anything. Hopefully things will start to get slightly better after Tuesday.

I say they should have a system like SWTOR or similar to it. If they can't get that then at least have either a lot more wards or have different locations then just at the 3 main city states.

Many suggestions have been made about ways to help housing availability, not sure if the suggestions have fallen on deaf ears but hopefully they will sift through them all and use the best ways to achieve this..without slapping too many wrists in the process.

Se works painfully slow in areas like this....(miniscule item limit from day 1 of housing is one example) we never know if anything has been taken seriously or even being considered, for months to years (at least) which only results in frustration and faith lost.

I agree more actual homes are needed, the apartments are cool, but a bandaid imo. Since so many other games have pulled this off ...years ago, I do think it should at least be a goal to make it happen at one point.

Mind you, what scares me the most, is that they very well may be ok with having a limiting and mediocre housing design, it is a possibility too, and in that case it wont get better...

Take a page from FFXI, maybe. Moghouses. Move everyone's existing houses into instanced places, if they have the gil to upgrade from small to medium to large, let them. The 'exclusive' popular plots were cool, really neat, but not worth this hassle. Most wards, sadly, are dead, even on big servers like Balmung. Think of it like a private room, but a whole ...house and yard. Yeah? No? This suggestion has probably been made a billion times.
