    Fan Fests in Vegas

Just want to get everyone's thoughts on Fan Fests being in Vegas, and happening during "convention" season.

Do you think should have future Fan Fests in Vegas again? Or do you think it should be elsewhere? And when?

I honestly believe that SE should think about having their future Fan Fests in more airport-accessible cities. For example, Los Angeles. San Francisco. Seattle. (They have an office in El Segundo, which is practically blocks away from LAX, so why not have it in that area?)

    Thoughts?

I'd much rather deal with McCaren airport than LAX.

I think they ought to be in different parts of the country each time. Heck, different parts of the continent, too - include Canada and maybe even Mexico cities.

Not everyone who wants to attend a Fan Fest wants to, or can, make it to Vegas.

Definitely in L. A. It's just a good place to have a convention.

The advantage of the Vegas venue is it's location to the HQ in Cali. It's just easier to prepare something the size of a convention based purely on their XIV game from that distance than it would be to try it do it elsewhere.

The reason why it isn't as difficult to set up for things like Pax East or South is because the size of their panels/merch isn't on a large scale like with a Fan Fest.

While it would be nice to see a Fan Fest on the East Coast, or elsewhere, in order for them to be able to do that, they would need to find ways to cut down on cost of moving merch they need for the event, otherwise the tickets could potentially cost double or even triple the price.

I fail to see how Las Vegas isn't an airport-accessible city? Considering McCarran airport is right off the Las Vegas Strip?

It's also easier to convince people to spend money to come to Las Vegas than it is to go to LA or any of those other places mentioned.

Not gonna lie, I live in las vegas, so yes I want it to stay here.

LAX isn't anymore accessible than McCarran. McCarran is literally 10mins away from the Paris, 20 mins on a bad traffic day, with a bus that will pick you up from the airport straight to the casinos. You're talking about a city that's number one business is tourism, and not a half ass one like Atlantic City (their airport is terrible), we've invested money into our airport because it literally brings the people who spend money here. Gambling is no longer the biggest money maker for Las Vegas, sales tax is. We want you to come here, shop, go see a show and eat/drink more than we want you to gamble. Any city who is based on tourism with a bunk airport doesn't deserve its visitors.

Not only that, McCarran has changed drastically in years, out of all the airports I've been to its one of the most accessible and easiest to navigate. So literally no one who's been to LV in the last 5 years would not believe you, because its not true. Stop acting like we're not a big ass city built on tourism, we're the size of Philly and literally the only area you'll actually go to isn't even Las Vegas, its Paradise. (the hotels, casinos, airport, and UNLV aren't in LV they are in Paradise). If you were talking about Montana or something, where you literally fly in and drive hours to reach a destination, then maybe I'd hear you out.

Cali also has stupid ass laws about smoking indoors, yoshi p doesn't like that at all. Guess what you can do in LV casinos , SMOKE INDOORS because we're not losers like Cali who want to control everything you do every second of the day. (half joking, still love my Californians even if it is love/hate, wouldn't live in the state at all but I'm glad you guys are 22% of our tourism and spend money here)

A few years ago I made a trip to the US, LA to be specific. I went on to a weekends in Las Vegas from there....I don't think the airport is even an argument...the one I was in in LA was horrible...the security control alone took me over 1h (that could also be because I'm from Germany but still). Las Vegas was MUCH easier in that regard!

In any case, I think Fan Fests should move. There will always be people that can't come to a location, no matter where it is but having it moved gives more people the opportunity to attend. If they can afford the horribly overpriced tickets that is.....
